The provider is very nice, never felt rushed, answered all of my questions since it was my first time getting glasses.
The staff was also very nice and profesional. I was acknowledged when I entered and also when I left .
The technician took the time in helping choose a frame best suited for my face. Again never felt rushed.
Just picked up my glasses today and they are fabulous.
I recommend 1000% will definitely be bringing my husband and family members here.

It occurred to me during my last visit that Dr. Kikunaga has been my optometrist for over ten years now. He is wonderful and incredibly thorough. Appointments are never rushed. He really takes the time to listen and to answer any questions in a way that is clear and concise.
He has always been very good about cleanliness pre-covid (you can tell it's routine - hand sanitizer, wiping down equipment with alcohol after use) and I appreciate the extra precautions taken during this time (temp check and hand sanitizer at the door).
Overall, he's just a good guy who cares about the health

Great service from the doctor does wish they would have explained my insurance coverage better on glasses. I feel like they tried to make me pay when my insurance covered all I needed are driving glasses. That's what I was upset about they just handed me the most expensive stuff remember to ask questions. But the doctor was good.

I have been going here for years and NEVER had any issues with them, but now all of the sudden they give me so many complications. They constantly gave me different prices on the same pair of glasses, they gave out false information. I went in to get my eyes checked turns out I needed new lenses, the receptionist told me there was a $99 deal on lenses and frames. I told her I also wanted to get my current glasses an updated lense for backup. She told me everything was covered next time i come in just give them my old pair,, so I paid $30 out of pocket. I come in a different receptionist told me

Loved that Dr. Kikunaga used hand sanitizer profusely. His hands may or may not be dry now, but my eyes are for sure in safe hands. I like his explanations (not just glazing over topics nor boring you with too much details) & how he really listens to your questions. He doesn't try to sound too smart for you but doesn't dumb it down either. It also seems like there's a good relationship between him & the ophthalmologists he refers to, so if there's more invasive procedures you need done, it doesn't feel like

Going to the optometrist's office is one of those doctors appointments I actually look forward to, thanks to Dr. Kikunaga. I just finished my eye exam and am sitting in the office's parking lot as I write this, lol. Unfortunately last year I had to go to another optometrist (at a completely different office) because I wasn't able to line up my appointment with Dr. Kikunaga's availability due to my work schedule at the time. Boy, did I regret making that mistake!! The doctor who did my eye exam was quick and impersonal and the technology was not up to date either. To make matters

Exceptional Service with a Smile!
I was just a walk-in with a minor emergency of loosing a screw on my eyeglasses with the lens falling out. They received me with a smile and took care of it while I waited. Leilani returned them with a lovely smile and said she tightened the other screw also. When I asked how much I owed them, she said there was no charge! Can you beat that! They also never asked if I was a patient or gave me the usual office screening. They really deserve our business!

I needed an eye appointment so I went to Bonita Family Optometry last year. Dr. Mason was fine - I had to go back a few times to get the contact vision correction fixed which seemed to irritate Dr. Mason a bit, but whatever. His front office staff attitude left a lot to be desired. Especially the one assistant who didn't seem to understand insurance coverage very well because it took her 20 minutes to figure it out while I was stood around waiting. She was also very abrupt and not very customer service oriented. It's because of those reasons I switched eye doctors and I am so much happier

I am SO GRATEFUL to Dr. Mason and his staff! I stepped on my contact lens last night and was left nearly blind with very poor eyesight. The office staff fit me in during their staff meeting this morning. Dr. Mason and all the staff provided me with excellent care, taking their time and even attempting to contact my insurance company to lower my costs. What an incredible experience. The front office staff were so friendly and efficient. Dr. K was absolutely amazing. I can't pronounce his name or even begin to spell it.
I felt so welcomed. He took the time to explain. I never felt rushed.

Great place to get your glasses and contacts. Daniel Mason has dedicated his life to giving people their vision back. Vision can be more than sight, it's your goals, your hopes and dreams, and vision is how you get there. But it's hard to move with confidence when you keep bumping into tables. It's hard to take the first step when you can't see where it is leading you. Thanks Dan for giving me the ability to see. A few days into my visit with family down in San Diego, I realized I was out of contact lenses. I get pretty funky floaters when it's bright outside and wear polarized sunglasses to counteract them, so with a long drive back to San Francisco looming, I really wanted to hunt down some contacts.
Bonita Point Family Optometry popped up as the a few miles away from where I was staying and had a pretty good reputation on Yelp. When I called them and asked if they had any of the contacts I needed in-stock, they said all they needed was a copy of my prescription and they'd take care of me.

I love this place. It's way out of my way, but the trip is worth it. Every time I go the staff is well informed. They are expecting me when I walk in. They know who I am, even though they have thousands of patients. Super friendly, super knowledge Dr. Kikunaga is always on point and keeping me informed every step of the way.
