Discover the Damariscotta River where 80 % of Maine oysters are farmed during our narrated Oyster Farms and Seal Watching Tours! Our boat tours take in the river's wildlife and history, and its new role in oyster farming. You'll see harbor seals in action, bald eagles and ospreys soaring above the coves, as oyster farmers raise very tasty oysters.
The 2-hour boat rides are educational and equally entertaining, with the world famous Damariscotta River oysters served at the Bar on board. Fun for all ages! Had a great trip! Saw bald eagles, ospreys, and a bunch of other birds. Captain Chp was a great source of info and humor. Olga was excellent and served drinks and fresh oysters!

We took the Oyster and Seal cruise this week and while the ride was very pleasant and scenic, and the captain/narrator informative and sometimes funny, there were a few things missing from the narration which I thought would have made the trip better and richer. Nothing was ever said about the length of the Damariscotta River, nor of its sources or where it empties out. None of the seabirds were mentioned, except for a very brief nod to cormorants................meanwhile, there were laughing gulls, terns, and other species, all of whom have fabulously interesting lives, and whom were never pointed

Awesome tour. Tour guide was knowledgeable and had a dry sense of humor that I personally found hillarious. Unfortunately a group of 15 turned it into a birthday boose cruise but luckily we got seats out front and the weather held up great. Would've liked to stop and chat with one of the other companies for a few minutes but was cool to see them working as we cruised by.

It's really fun and worth the price of the ticket. I'd highly recommend it to locals and vacationers. There's a clean bathroom on the boat and a bars to buy drinks and oysters. It's a slow, peaceful ride that tours the five Oyster Farms. The captain was funny. I booked the boat to watch the fireworks.

What a great tour! Excellent oysters, amazing wine selection, plus the captain is hilarious and informative at the same time. This was our third cruise and we loved it every time: the seal tour was great with many seals close up, the oysters and wine tasting tour was exceptional and the 4th of july tour is a hidden secret: the best spot to watch the 20-25 min fireworks show is from the water! Definitely coming back next vacation.

Must do if you come to Maine. There is a special feeling knowing you are in a boat owned and operated by a married couple that are both welcoming, informed and experienced. They know everything about the river, the oyster farms, the wildlife and surrounding scenery. It's a very special guided tour with wine and oysters available for purchase aboard. It can get chilly, dress warm, depending when you go.
