The Shed: Gift Shop & Museum is a delightful enterprise nestled in the beautiful hills of Scandia. We offer an eclectic experience for all ages. The shop features home & garden decor, seasonal & holiday items, antiques and collectables; souvenirs and gifts; and unique handmade crafts. Visitors enjoy browsing the nostalgic museum showcasing 20th century antiques.

Starting THE SHED was a retirement project for my husband, Ken and I. Ken had been a teacher and a principal and at one time I co-owned the Party People shop in Warren. We had a "whole lot of stuff" that needed to be kept for future generations. We wanted to share what we had with other people so we decided to open a museum.
One wall of the gift shop is for antiques and collectibles with lots and lots of old dishes, and a few tools mixed in too. You will find everything from country to witch balls. You will find locally made items from area crafters. We have candles, wood intarsia, purses, embroidered items, candy bouquets, painted rocks, gourd decorations, jewelry, wood items, and pillows with needlework.
One major feature is a reconstructed hunting camp. It originally stood where the Kinzua Dam is now. The camp was built in sections in Ohio, and transported to Kinzua and rebuilt. When the dam was built it was dismantled and rebuilt up the hill. The structure was used as a hunting camp until the mid 1990's, when the owner left one season and did not return.
We love to share our knowledge of the artifacts in our museum with anyone who wants to listen. If you would like a tour just come during business hours or anytime that you see the garage door open.
