For the past 30 years, Brighter Days has been the premier full-service professional painting company to call on in Columbia, Missouri. At BRIGHTER DAYS! we aim to bring you the best in residential interior and exterior painting whether you're starting from scratch with a new home or an addition, or are just freshening up your existing living space.
The typical exterior will be power washed to remove dirt and oxidation and we'll use a mildewcide when mold is present. Then the prep work begins in earnest with minor repairs to siding and trim and with scraping and sanding off of all loose paint, loose caulking and glazing compounds etc. When working on your openable window exteriors we will mask off the interior of the window to prevent dust from getting inside.
Ideal for wood decks and fences is a transparent or semi-transparent oil base stain whether they are new or previously stained decks. Of course if your deck has had a semi opaque, solid color or has been painted you can't go back to semi-transparent. The heavier, more opaque finishes are not ideal for decks because they have too much exposure to the elements and tend to begin pealing after a few years creating a maintenance headache.
BRIGHTER DAYS! Corp. offers power washing services for house and deck washing prior to painting and staining or for just cleaning up mildew and other molds that like to grow on many types of siding. Often a window cleaning customer will have us wash the house on one day and clean the windows on the next, because house washing does get the windows dirty.
We specialize in residential window cleaning with many regular customers that have us come once or twice a year to keep their windows sparkling. Whether you have modern windows with tilt in sash, self storing aluminum storms, or old fashion wooden storms we will be glad to clean your windows.

I hired Brighter Days after seeing the work they were doing on a house in my neighborhood. It was obvious from the great effort that they went to to prep the wood that they know what they are doing and focus on quality.

We hired Brighter Days to paint all of the "popcorn" ceilings in our Columbia residence after finding that a "DIY" approach was resulting in disaster. Brighter Days did a timely and professional job. We also asked them to paint the extra high walls in the residence, those that exceeded our reach.
