In 2002, I, Jerry Toney, the Artist and Designer for Cherokee Iron Works built my first Chandelier. My wife, Verla Toney was in the process of redecorating our home in Western/Southwestern decor. After spending months looking in many places, she could not find what she considered to be a nice Rustic Chandelier.
She came to this conclusion one night while sitting at the dinner table. Honey, let me get this right. I need a rustic chandelier, but I cannot find one. Of course, Verla then had to have breakfast room lighting, dining room lighting, ceiling fans, table lamps, switch covers, etc, etc. you can see where this is going.

This is what I was told by my Grandmother, Rosie McGhee and My Uncle Bill Toney. My Father was ashamed that he was to White to be Cherokee. I had to Register my Father, James F. Toney after his passing. I am Registered Cherokee Indian of the "Trail of Tears" lineage. My Grandmother, Rosie McGhee (Toney) on my father's side of the family (James Toney), was registered in 1903 with her father Albert McGhee and other siblings.
