Susan Dembo received her Master of Science degree in Acupuncture from New York College of Health Professions in 2006 graduating with honors for academic excellence. She is a Nationally Board Certified and New York State Licensed Acupuncturist. In addition, she holds a Master of Arts degree in Audiology from Hofstra University.
Acupuncture with Susan Dembo delivers twice the care you'll receive anywhere. I went to Susan with a very upsetting chronic issue that I had begun to wonder if I would have to live with for the rest of my life. She came highly recommended by 2 people and now I know why. Susan Dembo has provided acupuncture treatments for me on virtually a weekly basis now for over 2 years.
Practitioners of acupuncture and Chinese medicine have used this noninvasive treatment method to help millions of people become well and stay well. Acupuncture promotes natural healing. It can enhance recuperative power and immunity, support physical and emotional health, and improve overall function and well-being.
According to Chinese medical theory, the symptoms and signs that indicate a Western diagnosis of allergies relate to imbalances in the meridian and Organ Systems of the body. These imbalances may stem from a variety of causes, including stress, poor diet, constitutional weakness, pollutants and environmental toxins.
Acupuncture has been employed as a health care modality for over 5,000 years. Modern science has begun to understand the secrets of this ancient medicine with the support of new studies conducted by leading scientists, hospitals and medical research facilities from all over the world. Today, acupuncture is receiving wide acceptance as a respected, valid and effective form of health care.

I needed an acupuncturist last minute today and was referred to Susan. I couldn’t have been more satisfied! I am always skeptical, like many, when it comes to entrusting my well-being to the hands of a stranger. First time having acupuncture and it was a great experience. Susan is so calm spoken and the environment is reflective of her energy. Strongly recommend Susan!!

Susan is a talented acupuncturist who combines her treatment modality with the very important aspect of Attuned listening. With each visit she helps determine your treatment needs by inquiring about your life, health, emotional well being and concerns. It is truly a holistic treatment and Susan is excellent at her craft and places you at ease instantly. I travel a significant distance to see her because of her holistic approach. Cannot recommend her highly enough !

I have to admit I've been a bit timid to try acupuncture again after a few painful sessions. But Susan put me completely at ease. She didn't brush off my past experiences and concerns and listened with deep concentration. The session was enjoyable and gentle. It was the first acupuncture session I was able to fully relax into. I left feeling super energized and felt that same energy all afternoon! I can't wait to book another session!
