In 1988, Billy Ryan arrived in San Francisco from County Cork, Ireland after years of training to become a carpenter/cabinet maker. In San Francisco, he was immediately sought after for his fine craftsmanship. In 1993 he acquired his California General Contractors License and established Ryan Construction.

Ryan Construction operates with a lean and loyal crew of craftsman as well as an established group of subcontractors. Billy built a home for his own family in Burlingame, California where is lives with his wife, Jennifer and three sons, Liam, Owen and Declan. Letters of reference are available upon request.
Services
Ryan Construction offers a full range of structural strengthening services. We work closely with engineers to provide cost efficient solutions to the building structural, soft story and seismic code requirements. In addition, Ryan Construction can recommend engineers that have experience working closely with the city's building department.
Having renovated three other homes in the previous five years. Billy was straightforward and confident, willing to let his work speak for itself. He was always willing to listen to our concerns or questions, and absorbed a great deal of the "hassle factor" inherent in the renovation of any old building without even troubling us.

We needed to replace our 2nd story decking off our master bedroom in our Millbrae home. We are glad we first referenced YELP! and the endorsement made by Linda T. regarding Ryan Construction. Billy Ryan is a throwback to a time when a man's word is his bond. Everything Billy promised was delivered. The results are outstanding and work completed for a reasonable price. We ended up with not only a wonderful

Not only did they build was what designed, they added handrails going down both staircases, which I'm pretty sure is needed to pass inspection, but was left out of the diagrams.

Admittedly, it took two months to complete, which was nearly twice as long as I was lead to expect. However, the craftsmanship is top, and I would much rather have a well-constructed, beautiful deck in a longer amount
