This guy f'd up my doc martens!!!
The seems on my docs came undone on both sides. The guy looked at them and said I'll have to do a zigzag design, so I imagine a single zig zag design. What he did, is wack! Totally botched my shoe!. Honestly the damaged shoe looked better. He said it would be $13 and then looked again and said $16. Why???. He didn't even sew them up 100%. Seriously so terrible. He wasn't friendly either and didn't present me with various options of repair.
My poor black heeled docs are jacked...and not easy to replace either.

I discovered Cope's Site Repair while in the middle of costuming the Bright Star production. I brought in several broken heels and men's shoes. They were so friendly and quick and even finished it the same day so we could use them for our performance. They do good repair work! Great place for all shoe repair needs!

I really don't remember how many pairs of boots I've taken in for half-soles and heels since moving to Utah years ago, but Vic has done 'em all and done 'em well. I rarely wear any footwear but Tony Lama boots, and while I could go with other materials, I like traditional leather soles the best. Though they wear through, particularly with "concrete" time, a new half-sole now and then keeps a great pair of boots lasting for years and years until the uppers finally wear out. We went in first thing on a Tuesday morning hoping for a miracle. My son was flying out that afternoon for his mission and realized over the weekend his favorite shoes had the heal coming off. Mr. Cope told us to come back in an hour. The shoes were good as new. He even polished and shined them up for my son. He was an answer to our prayers. Thank you for an amazing job on the spot.

Vic is truly an artisan in an almost extinct art. He works wonders with shies and leathers. He has even handcrafted me a couple of belts including a 4" wide Santa belt. In a disposable world he rescues great usable items and gives them new life. His prices have always been more than fair. My wife and I have used his services for over a decade now and are always pleased with the finished product!

I took some leather dress shoes in to ask if they were worth fixing. Shoes were given a new heel and sole that was high quality (Vibram). Shoes were polished and ready to pick up within 5 hours of dropping them off. I’m happy with how they look, and the stitching looks solid. I could have bought a new pair for over $120, but now they have new life for half the price. Highly recommend.
