Before filing a Medicaid Application, the New Jersey Law Office of Donald D. Vanarelli prepares a comprehensive evaluation of each client's unique family and financial situation. Based upon the evaluation, the Law Firm provides planning recommendations which are custom-made for each client.
The planning recommendations are designed to achieve three goals: (1) to ensure that the care needs of all of our clients are provided for; (2) to make certain that there are sufficient assets available to pay for all needed care; and, (3) to ensure that the client's estate is preserved for the client's loved ones to the maximum extent possible.

After an application is submitted, the Medicaid agency will eventually make an eligibility determination, and the application either will be approved or denied. If an application is denied, the applicant has a right to a Medicaid appeal by requesting a fair hearing. Denials are often made in error and an appeal is necessary to correct the error.

Don Vanarelli and his team were vital in helping my sister and I understand the bewildering Medicaid process. Our loved ones’s case was not typical, however he researched and found the answers to a number of complicated questions/situations. The only reason why I am not giving a 5 star rating is that Mr. Vanarelli’s response time in answering emails/returning phone calls could have been better.
At the end of the day, the mission was accomplished. With that being said, I highly recommend the Law Office of Donald D. Vanarelli.

My husband and I contacted the Law Office of Donald D. Vanarelli in order to update our wills. An appointment was set up in a timely manner that was suitable to all. From the time we arrived for our initial appointment to our last appointment for the final signing of the documents, we were treated, courteously, patiently and compassionately by Mr. Vanarelli and his staff. Any questions we had, were immediately answered, whether it be in person, or via an email or phone call. We were made to feel completely comfortable throughout the entire process. Based on our experience with the Law Office of

I don’t normally write reviews, but we were so impressed with the legal services of Don Vanarelli, that we wanted to share with others how great our experience was.
We first noticed Don from his social media presence and his history as an elder law attorney was clearly extensive and award winning.
We hadn’t changed our will in years and had many life changes that needed to be addressed. We met with Don and his team to get the ball rolling. His staff is very polite, professional and knowledgeable.

AVOID AT ALL COST!! Unless of course you want to be over charged as your case is placed in the slow lane by this attorney so he can bill you endlessly. Self serving attorney that conveniently manufactures imaginary billable actions to drain your funds and bolster his income. This law practice functions more like a junk mail marketeer than a law office. The one thing that arrives in your inbox more than his bills/invoices is his useless unwanted an unsolicited spam mail. STEER CLEAR OF THIS GUY. You have been warned.

I initially "found" Mr. Vanarelli in 2002, when I really needed legal advice for nursing home placement of my Mother, who was a serious stroke victim. Following that, I was so pleased with the service and outcome, I had Mr. V. help me with options for my disabled brother, as well as getting my final papers in order so no one would have to go through what I went through with my Mom's final days. I have referred many co-workers and friends to this Law Office, who in turn were as pleased as I was, and in turn referred others. The greatest experience working with Mr. Vanarelli is his calm and gracious

I was very upset with this office and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. In fact, run the other way. They told me the price range of the service which was acceptable so I retained them. After 3 weeks, nothing was done and then they had to fast tract everything. Communication was lacking, over $600 in copy fees and $8,000 more than what they quoted. Job was completed. And how I know... Through the mail, not even a phone call. Stay away, there are other elder lawyers.

My mother was referred to this lawyer to prepare her will by a person that didn't realize that my mother didn't have much of anything to begin with. Instead of asking her some vetting questions to see if he really necessary for her needs, he told her she needed to pay $350 and they would have a 90 minute appointment by phone to discuss her will. She paid him this money, against the advice of multiple people. On the day of her phone appointment, he called her 75 minutes later than the set time and then spent exactly 15 minutes on the phone with her. The next communication she had was a
