Nearsightedness (myopia) is a vision condition that causes blurred distance vision but near vision is often clear.
Many systemic conditions and medications can directly affect your eyes and vision including diabetes mellitus, hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and more. This is a measurement of the smallest letters you can read on an eye chart at a specific distance and is performed one eye at a time. Our experienced opticians have a passion for helping patients find the eye wear that is meant for you. They will assist you in choosing the correct lens design, materials, and options that are right for lifestyle and visual needs. Their expertise is valuable in helping you select a frame that accentuates your facial features, fits your style, and meets your visual needs.
Contact lenses provide a glasses free way to correct vision. Contact lenses can be particularly beneficial for individuals with a high refractive error where the lenses in their glasses may be thick and sometimes heavy. They can provide clear peripheral vision as compared to having to move your head with glasses or the temples on glasses sometimes get in the way.
