Jewish Community Center Camp By The Sea
The Camp By The Sea team is comprised of school teachers, college students majoring in childhood development, former campers, and preschool educators. Along with giving campers a fun and exciting summer, our goal is to provide kids with positive role models and self-esteem. Our team knows that the invaluable experiences, friendships and skills from summer camp can last a lifetime.

Austin graduated from Stockton University with a Hospitality and Tourism Degree in 2019. He has worked at Camp By The Sea for three summers in several divisions including our amazing Travel Camp. Austin has been working hard planning an amazing camp experience for your child this summer. This year Austin will lead Camp By The Sea as we celebrate our 75th Anniversary with an emphasis on safety and an overabundance of fun!
Services
Due to increased enrollment and limited number of spaces, we have paused new enrollments for Shacar and Shacar Katan. Shacar Camp days are filled with fun, age-appropriate activities including art, nature, water play, dance, music, sports, Shabbat and more! Shacar Katan campers will enjoy a preview of the Camp By The Sea program without leaving the JCC grounds as there are no outside trips.
Due to increased enrollment and limited number of spaces, we have paused new enrollments for Gesher and Chaverim. You will be notified as spots in each age group become available. Safety is our #1 priority at Camp By The Sea. Thank you for your understanding. Fun-filled sports curriculum with games and instruction in soccer, gaga, basketball, and kickball in an outdoor setting.
During these times grandparent caregivers are faced with the financial and social burden of finding alternative programs and activities for their grandchildren. Camp By The Sea is excited to welcome a new Grandparent Respite Care program that will enable grandparents who are raising their grandchildren an opportunity to join Camp By The Sea.
As we navigate through these unprecedented times, we want to you to know that we are doing everything we can to make sure Camp By The Sea is just as fun as it always has been, in a safe way. Camp programs for children ages 2 - 4 have two, three and five day per week options and are available for full day or half day.
Camper health and safety is our number one concern. To ensure that safety Camp By The Sea keeps a trained medical professional on staff daily to administer medication and provide first aid for campers. Camp By the Sea does not accept religious exemptions, therefore all children enrolled in our program must be fully immunized according to the New Jersey Department of Health Immunization Requirements.

They keep the kids busy with many different activities including weekly field trips and to the beach. Swim lessons are a definite plus! Unfortunately many of the counselors are on their phones and many times the kids and counselors have to eat on the floor due to the lack of space.
