Do I need to treat the infection? No. Some patients choose to live with the infection and manage the condition by periodic debridement (trimming and reducing the thickness of the toenail) for comfort. Oral antifungals approved for the treatment of onychomycosis include; Lamisil (terbinafine), Sporanox (itraconazole) and Griseofulvin.
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy or ESWT, as it is commonly referred to, is a non-invasive, non-surgical option for the treatment of intense and relentless heel pain associated with the chronic condition known as Plantar Fasciitis. The Plantar Fascia is almost as wide as the foot and plays an important role in the support of the foot.

I came here with a very difficult case of plantars warts. One being the size of a nickel, and a large mosaic pattern extending between several toes. After several appointments at other doctors, trying all other options for years, we were at the point of looking for a surgical solution. After watching videos online, we decided to try the SWIFT treatment as one last effort before surgical removal. The SWIFT treatment was very effective. After one treatment all affected areas were reduced to approximately 50% size. After the second treatment everything was gone except for three small faint white dots

I recently had a case of Plantar Fasciitis on my right foot. I was in a great deal of pain with every step I took. In addition, the limping that I was forced to do was throwing my back out. I went to see Dr. Zirna because I knew that he offered Shockwave Therapy for Plantar Fasciitis. There are very few podiatrists in WNY, that I'm aware of, that have access to this non-surgical treatment. Since I've had this condition before on my left foot, I knew that the quickest way to get relief was Shockwave Therapy. After three brief weekly visits to Dr. Zirna for Shockwave Therapy, I am pain-free and able
