Independence Home Care is one of NJ's largest non-franchised home care providers. We do very little advertising because most of our referrals are word of mouth from our previous satisfied families or from respected medical professionals. We truly pride ourselves on hard work, honesty, and ongoing communication.
Independence Home Care specializes in Live-in Care. Over 70% of our clients are receiving live-in services with us. With Live-in services, the caregiver stays in the client's home 24-hours a day. When your regular caregiver takes vacation time off, we will provide a trained replacement caregiver. Our RN will ensure the caregiver is oriented and follows the plan of care.
Independence Home Care is Family Owned by Teresa Sajkowski RN, and her husband Vincent. Teresa founded Independence Home Care to improve and exceed the current in-home care standards. Because of our high standards and excellent reputation we attract the "Most Elite" caregivers in the industry.

Once a referral is made to our home care agency, it is given immediate follow up and attention. With an extensive database of skilled caregivers, Independence Home Care excels in staffing each case quickly and efficiently. We are experts at matching the perfect caregiver to each client's needs. We have professional and skilled staff available 24hrs/day, 7 days a week.
Independence Home Care understands the challenges that individuals and their families face when dealing with Alzheimer's and Dementia. Our hone health aid Rose was more than I ever thought a aid would be. Rose fit right in, s he made my mom feel like there was nothing wrong, that she was not receiving g from a stroke. She was gentle and compassionate, did everything my mom needed and never once was my mom uncomfortable. Rose was like having a family member that you like helping and keeping my mom safe and pushing her recovery when I couldn’t.
You can never be there 24/7 to help your loved one recover and it is hard entrusting your loved one to someone that you don’t know. This “agency” is wonderful at matching a caregiver

I used Independence Home Care for my father's care when he was terminally ill. The entire staff at Independence really came through for me and my family when we were looking for a home health aid to hire. They found an aid within ONE day to start caring for my dad. The aid was excellent! Did anything and everything my dad needed, with such love and care and really helped put our minds at ease. Would highly recommend Independence to anyone looking for a home health aid for their loved one!!

Our experience with Independence Home Care was excellent. The back-office staff was extremely responsive whenever we called. The nurse that came for the initial consult (Elizabeth Conti) was excellent, and did a great job setting expectations. Both aides that were scheduled were very attentive and responsible. Thank you Independence Home Care for being there for our family during a difficult time.

Before my Mother was discharged from Princeton Hospital I met with several home care companies to provide live-in care. After meeting them all, I ultimately chose Independence Home Care and I couldn't be happier. They truly go above and beyond and the caregiver they sent has been an angel. From Nicole in the office, Kelly who went over every detail, Elizabeth the nurse and Sondra our Caregiver we cannot be any happier. It has been 6 months since we started with them and we feel so lucky to have found them. They took what was a very stressful situation for our family and made the transition back
