We're Bruce and Raelynn Radway and together we own Midnight Sun Painting in Fairbanks, Alaska. We're both long-time Alaskans who choose to make Fairbanks our home. Bruce is a journeyman painter in charge of daily operations while Raelynn manages finance and compliance as well as promotions, website and social media.
Our sons are both crew leaders and have been our core work-force since the beginning. Both are experienced painters and, "fixers, " and one is an outstanding carpenter. Together we specialize in all kinds of interior and exterior painting. We are a licensed, bonded and insured general contractor.

Services
Alaska's harsh climate is brutal on exterior finishes. Keeping the elements from taking their toll on your home, rental property or business is our job and we take it seriously. Shortcuts in prep, product, or application will result in a sub-standard paint job. Exterior paints adhere best after a thorough pressure washing to remove failing paint, oxidation, and dirt.

Q: Do we need to be able to ventilate when we're having interior painting done in our home?. In fact, MSP doesn't even paint interiors in the summer because the season is so short and exteriors are a priority. Unlike paint in years past, paints are monitored for content to ensure safety. We use low odor, low/no VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) paints that dissipate quickly.

The painters arrived as scheduled and the paint job was beautiful. What really impressed me with this company was the workers’ attention to detail. They were very protective of the plants along the sides of the house, they were meticulous in their clean up, and they offered suggestions for some weak spots in the siding. I plan to hire them again to do our interior painting.

The midnight sun crew is incredibly professional and thorough. From the estimate process all the way through the finished product, they maintain clear communication and just overall high quality work. We had them paint at our business office and they worked with our schedule (couldn't paint during business hours) and kept us in the loop every step of the way. They cleaned up and put everything back the way it was after the job was done. Absolutely recommend!
