Hume's Tax Service, formerly Hume's Econotax, was established in 1994. After noticing that most tax services were very overpriced and under experienced, Jerrad Humerickhouse wanted to provide individuals and businesses with a better, more affordable option. Hume's Tax Service is one of the most trusted tax preparation businesses in Lawrence.

As the owner of Hume's Tax Service, Jerrad has kept the business going strong for over 20 years. He has made Hume's Tax Service what it is today, very knowledgeable and the most reasonable in the area. Jerrad also runs a real estate appraisal company, H&H Appraisal Company, out of the same office. When not at the office, Jerrad likes to spend time with his family, rooting on his favorite sport teams, hunting mushrooms and taking vacations!

We prepare income tax returns, both Federal and all State returns for anyone in any tax bracket. We provide quick and professional service for a minimal cost. We will utilize the eFile system from the IRS to get your refund to you as quickly as possible. We will also check tax returns from previous years and resubmit them if needed to get you the biggest refund you are entitled to.

Jarred is the only person to take care of my taxes. As a matter of fact my grandparents, my parents, me (for 28 years) and now my daughter only go to Humes. I was willing to drive two hours. Everyone at Humeso Econotax is helpful, knowledgeable, upfront, and the prices are minimal. Service is fast and friendly. I wish I could give them a million starts because I would!
