The physicians at the Foot and Ankle Center are dedicated to providing the most advanced foot and ankle healthcare available to our patients in Southwest Florida. Established in 1991, we operate under the philosophy that nothing is more important in the treatment our patients than the trust they have in their doctor.

A: Podiatrists are Doctors of Podiatric Medicine, DPM. Podiatrists are also known as podiatric physicians or surgeons. Podiatrists often diagnose and treat conditions of the foot, ankle and other related structures of the leg. Podiatrists receive similar training that other doctors complete. They complete four years of training in a podiatric medical school and three years of hospital residency training.
Dr. John J. Adler currently practices podiatric medicine in Cape Coral, Florida where he has been successful for over 20 years. He was voted as one of the Top 5 physicians in Southwest Florida. Dr. John J. Adler is a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association, Board Certified American Board Of Podiatric Surgery, and Fellow American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons.

This was my first visit to the foot and ankle office The staff was attentive and courteous My visit with Dr Adler was nicely interactive. He is a good listener who assesses the situation and offers very good suggestions. Even down to practical everyday advice for leg cramps and shoe wear

Everyone on staff is very professional and cordial at the same time. Dr. Adler displays a genuine interest in patient well-being and takes the necessary time to ask questions, explain what he is doing, and answer questions. I anticipate a long patient/doctor relationship, because I have a lot of confidence in the people and the practice.

My Hubby has this stubborn callused plantar on his foot and we tried everything over the counter for years to get rid of it,
So when the walking pain started again, we decided to made an appointment with Dr. Shiengold at Foot & Ankle Center on Del Prado.
The Whole Office was Great, clean and comfortable, they have Reserved parking spots for the patients right outside the door. The front desk staff at check in was very nice and greeted us right away, as soon as we handed the paperwork in, we were brought back to the room very quickly. The treatment room was very quiet, and private office rooms

Dr Sheingold and his entire office staff are amazing! Professional, friendly, accommodating, I look forward to every follow up. My surgery in 2019 went flawlessly, I’ve healed incredibly. I’ve had a chance to become a repeat customer when breaking my toe recently, and the best part of an unfortunate situation was reconnecting with these amazing people. Cannot recommend this office enough!!

My mother had an appt today and after waiting 45 min to be told they were cleaning a room, then waiting another 15 min to not be seen my mother left. Very unprofessional. It is not good business to have an appt and wait for that amount of time with no updates, especially when others coming in well after my mother were taken right back. I would NEVER recommend this place. I would give zero stars if it would let me

I have had nothing but excellent results in Working with Dr.Adler.
Four years ago or so I made an appointment here to see him, my feet hurt so bad I could hardly walk.
I found out I was flat footed, had plantar fasciitis,and heel spurs.
Everything he suggested worked, I had to stay off my feet for a while,and also invested in some shoe orthotics. They are expensive,but they worked! Please don't waste your money or your time going to these commercial places!

I went to Dr. Alder for foot pain. After having met with him my first time, I followed his advice and purchased an expensive pair of walking shoes for $148. During this same visit, he took some x-rays which he said showed some arthritis. During my second visit, he wrote a prescription for blood work to test for gout and/or rheumatoid arthritis for Qwest labs of which was a testing lab that he recommended. During the third visit, he said that the blood marker for me per the results was on the cusp for rheumatoid arthritis and he gave me a referral for two potential rheumatoid arthritis specialists

I would give them less than one star if I could. After waiting for an hour to see Dr Sheingold, he spent exactly 20 minutes with me. His office mis coded the "procedure" with my insurance to get more money, and then billed me for an additional $88 over my co pay. I think getting almost $400 from my insurance and my co pay was enough! Rip Off. And what he did in 20 minutes did nothing for the issue I am having. The witch in his office refused to work with me and hung up on me. I refused to pay the additional money, and now have been turned over to a collection agency. Don't care
