Natural stone includes all materials extracted straight from the Earth. This includes Granite, Marble, Soapstone, and Quartzite. These stones allow for the most unique countertops offering extravagant characteristics and design forged over the world's existence. Quartz countertops are manufactured using a mixture of ground natural quartz along with a polymer resin.
The result is an extremely durable non-porous material that does not require sealing making it an excellent option for your countertop needs. Solid Surface countertops are a man-made material composed of acrylic, epoxy, or polyester resins and pigments. This allows for seamless countertops and integrated sinks to give a smooth continuous look.

Services
Natural stone makes up the most unique character-rich option for countertops and has been used as building materials for thousands of years. Natural stone is created over time as the Earth's crust heats and cools forming the beautiful masses of stone beneath the surface that are then extracted and made into the countertops that you see today.
Quartz countertops are a growing trend among kitchens today. As opposed to natural stone, quartz is engineered and manufactured compromised of approximately 90% ground up natural quartz then mixed with a combination of glues and resins. This produces an extremely durable nonporous material that does not need to be sealed and does an extraordinary job resisting scratches, chips, stains, and overall wear and tear.
Solid surface is a product that stands alone from natural stone and quartz. It is an acrylic which gives it a much different composition allowing for seamless design and integrated sinks as seen in the picture. When compared with stone, solid surface is nonporous like quartz but much softer and not as heat resistant so it is important to be careful not to scratch or burn the surface.

I see many wonderful reviews about this company here, and would have agreed with up until recently.
Beware of this business!
We have used this business twice, once for new construction on our lake house, and the second time was a remodel on our primary residence. The first time went off without a hitch, but for the remodel of our bathrooms, kitchen, and island in our primary residence was a whole different story.
I had to take them to small claims court, and agreed to accept a settlement for an issue that they should have taken care of immediately. They broke a large mirror in one of our bathrooms

Carroll’s is awesome. We had a contractor not show up. With family reunion scheduled, Carroll’s worked with us by going out of their way to get our kitchen done in a third of the time it should’ve taken. The workmanship of the job was also absolutely perfect! The seams in the granite are barely noticeable. Our new contractor said it was some of the best work he has seen. Thank you Carroll’s for doing a great job. Will definitely use again in the future.

Carroll's installed our granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom- they are contracted through Lowes in Hartselle, Al. I give them zero stars for reasons that vary from rude customer service to a crack in the granite that Kyle Carroll refused to acknowledge. We had several professionals look at the "crack" in the granite on our kitchen countertops and every single one said it is an "unacceptable crack". When we approached carroll's about this, Kyle looked at it and said it's a "fissure" and to be expected with granite. The crack is from the top to the bottom and extends from the front to
