This hotel has the best management, concierge, and staff I have ever encountered. We had a problem checking in after we payed our reservation. All because we didn't have the security deposit of $150. This upset me because it was late, I was tired, but most of all because our booking site said there wouldn't be any security deposited needed (I'm glad I screen shot that info). The night security officer wouldn't even look at our booking reservation and acted like we were an inconvenience. I was furious and first thing following morning I called the hotel and requested a manager. I explained what

This place is a little misleading and way more run down than the pictures show. The rooms need help. The room doors you have to slam shut and put your whole body weight into opening them. The rooms with 2 beds. Beware they are the smallest double beds I've ever seen. This place could use some major updates and a fresh coat of paint. It's just way more run down than we were anticipating for the price we paid. Definitely would not recommend only unless you want to use it for the races. Anything else. Find a different hotel.

We did not have our usual wonderful experience this trip. At 2:10am on the first night, the rudest, loudest guests checked in next to us...yelling, slamming doors, ...it took 3 calls to the front desk before they finally quieted down. We were offered a new room, but we didn't want to move in the middle of the night. In the morning we asked about another room,, but they did not have a comparable room available. Night #2 it began at 11pm. The manager on call Saturday night took care of it immediately.
We stay there regularly and this was not a typical experience.

First time staying here and I loved it!
The hotel is off the usual path and somewhat secluded.
Beautiful property with great memorabilia and a stellar bar.
Rooms were comfortable and balcony gave a perfect view of the race track. I got to enjoy my coffee, and the evening drinks watching the show!
Front desk staff very courteous, and Bridgette the bartender was a charm.
I can't wait to visit again.
