Proven effective at treating PTSD, Depression, Grief, Phobias, Anxiety, and Addiction, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, often referred to as ART, is a form of psychotherapy with roots in existing evidence-based therapies but shown to achieve benefits much more rapidly; usually within 1-5 sessions.
ART works directly to reprogram the way in which distressing images and memories are stored in the brain so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions. The end result is that traumas and difficult life experiences will no longer trigger strong emotions or physical reactions.

Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or 18.1% of the population every year. It's not uncommon for someone with an anxiety disorder to also suffer from depression or vice versa. Nearly one-half of those diagnosed with depression are also diagnosed with an anxiety disorder.
Post-traumatic stress symptoms can result from a wide variety of difficult experiences: childhood abuse, sexual assault, military combat, toxic or violent relationships, car accidents, or surviving a natural disaster. Symptoms can also occur as a result of repetitive exposure to physical and mental suffering of others as a part of your job, for example working as a police officer, first responder, or in healthcare.
The impact of sexual trauma - sexual assault, date rape, childhood sexual abuse, sexual harassment, emotional or physical abuse by a partner - can be devastating and life-altering. What's important to know is that the reactions that many survivors have are normal reactions to trauma. Maybe the world doesn't feel safe and it's hard to trust others, or even yourself.
