Our owner, Truman Johnson, has been working on big trucks since 1979, when he graduated from Texas State Technical Institute with a degree in truck repair. He then started his career in truck repair and maintenance the same year, and he's never looked back. In fact, Truman enjoyed working on trucks so much that he opened Tri-County Diesel Service in April of 1995.
Tri-County Diesel Service provides complete truck repair and maintenance services for all major big truck brands, including Ford, Kenworth, International, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Mack, GMC, Western Star, Volvo, Detroit, Cummins, and Cat. Our goal is to take care of all of our customers' needs, from emergency repairs to maintaining a long-term preventive maintenance schedule.
Kenworth trucks integrate the latest in component technology with advanced aerodynamics, ensuring that Kenworth remains the hands-down favorite when operations demand a critical competitive edge. and everyone at Tri-County is first class all the way! I noticed a review calling them a take your money and run shop that is the farthest from the truth. This shop is by far the most honest, professional and friendly place you will ever find to repair your truck.

I am very pleased with service I received from Tri-County Diesel Services. They replaced a carrier bearing on my 2016 Freightliner Cascadia, and got me back out on road with my load the next day. Charges for work were very reasonable. Michelle in the office was super! Very friendly and professional. I even met the owner, Truman, while waiting in the break room for my truck the morning after I left truck off for repair. Truman and I had a nice chat, I was impressed with him and his shop. I will definitely take my truck to Tri-County Diesel in the future if I am in San Antonio area and need service

Critical: Quality, Value
Came in for an oil leak . Worked on everything BUT my problem . Left there $ 324 lighter in the wallet , problem still existed . Yes they did fix an air leak I had , , BUT , NEVER diagnosed my original complaint! Typical take the money and run shop . Hope you sleep at night , never AGAIN !!

Had some front end work done to my truck and they knock it out of the park. Its been about a month since they did the work. I didn't wanna write a review until I drove it for a while to see how it felt. This is the second time Tri-County has worked on my truck. I would definitely recommend them. They actually go above and beyond to help you out! Thanks guys!!
