In 1998 by transportation consultant, Giles Taylor. As a corporate logistician, Giles became frustrated that he did not have the time and resources to gather the data needed to make informed strategic decisions. He recognized an opportunity to offer companies, on a consulting basis, a highly analytical approach to decision making that could drive six-figure and seven-figure savings.

The problem with transportation consulting services is that they're provided by consultants. People who have spent their entire careers in the consulting ranks. While these folks are smart, often they rely solely on modeling tools to provide answers and follow analytical approaches that work in other parts of business, but are not effective in transportation.

Giles started Trans-solutions, Inc. in 1998 after a successful career in corporate logistics. He began his career as an engineer and worked his way through the ranks to Vice President of Operations. Giles brings a well-rounded perspective to his freight management and logistics assignments, having run warehouses, logistics operations, transportation departments, truck fleets, facilities, call centers and customer service centers.
