Datatek's origins date back to 1988 when the two-man repair shop began making blue line prints for the architectural and engineering trades under the name Alabama Blueprint & Supply Co. Moving forward with changes in digital technology, the small business traded the ammonia-vapor "blue-print" machines for state-of-the-art digital printers, resulting in increased capabilities and a larger workforce.
In 2007, Datatek began making custom signage with the procurement of a production quality, digital flatbed printer. This investment helped accommodate the growing demand from Datatek's local construction, architecture, and engineering clients for jobsite/directional signs and presentation/rendering boards.

Unlike JPEGs, GIFs, and BMP images, vector graphics are not made up of a grid of pixels. Instead, vector graphics are comprised of paths, which are defined by a start and end point, along with other points, curves, and angles along the way.

Jason at Wood Tech USA provided probably the best customer service experience I've had with any vendor in quite some time. I called them late afternoon on Thursday with a last minute wedding anniversary idea. A color photo printed on reclaimed barn wood. He was quick to reply and follow up with every question I had. Picked up next day just in time to surprise the wife. Can't speak any better of these guys. A++
