My name is Dr. C.E. Zuluaga. After over fifteen years of successful practice in Broward County, my beautiful wife Laura and I wanted to be closer to family. Although it was difficult to leave behind many good friends and wonderful patients, we are delighted to be living in the lovely community of Gainesville.
In simplest terms, a subluxation a.k.a. Vertebral Subluxation) is when one or more of the bones of your spine (vertebrae) move out of position and create pressure on, or irritate spinal nerves. Spinal nerves are the nerves that come out from between each of the bones in your spine. This pressure or irritation on the nerves then causes those nerves to malfunction and interfere with the signals traveling over those nerves.
This is a representation of one type of subluxation. A subluxation, as defined by the Association of Chiropractic Colleges is: "A subluxation is a complex of functional and/or structural and/or pathological articular changes that compromise neural integrity and may influence organ system function and general health."

Dr. Zuluaga took back, shoulder and neck pain that I had been experiencing for two years, and with a comprehensive exam and two precise adjustments, completely eliminated my pain at the source by treating the cause rather than simply the symptom. I have been skeptical in the past but ever since I have been going to Hunters Crossing Chiropractic my faith in spinal adjustments has been restored. They are very careful and attentive to the concerns you have with your back. I have been to many chiropractors over the years and I believe Dr. Carlos is by far the best. The great part is the flexibility of getting adjusted according to my schedule and being able to see me on a moments notice without any extra charges. I highly recommend you at least visit the office and see for yourself.

There is no better chiropractor to go to in town! Dr. Z is amazing. He is the only one who has been able to help my husband and I with back and neck issues. He is smart and caring. It is obvious he is passionate about helping people feel better. And if that wasn't enough he is also the only one I trust with my now 2 year old son. He has been able to help my entire family with not just typical neck and back pain but even digestive issues and of course headaches. Don't waste another minute in pain or feeling, go see Dr. Z.

Dr. Z is wonderful! I like that he took X-rays before treating me so that he could see the source of my pain. He doesn't treat the symptoms; he treats what's causing them.
Dr. Z is also thorough in his explanation of what is wrong, how he will treat it, and how you will feel afterward. He is willing to listen and will spend as much time as necessary to answer all questions and provide detailed explanations.
