Services
Established in 1908 by Phillip Wise, Wise Funeral Home began - like most funeral homes at that time - as a furniture store that served funerary needs. Wise Funeral Home was originally located on the downtown square in Bonham; it moved to its present location at 219 West Sam Rayburn in 1935. It is now located in the beautiful Scarborough Home, which becomes a part of the history of the funeral home.
We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Staff members of Wise Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Stephen Murden has been a funeral director and embalmer since 1993.
We are able to meet the needs and wishes of every family that we serve through the options we provide. We offer visitation and wake for viewing services, and we can provide full transportation options. We also provide our families with full options for pre-paid and pre-arranged services. Family conferences with funeral directors and staff are available at your convenience, and we encourage you to contact us should you like further information.

Our baby girl went to be with the Lord 3 days after she was born. We have never done a funeral before but Wise Funeral Home was so caring and thoughtful in helping us with whatever needs we have. Michael the director was extremely professional yet kind. We have already recommended Wise Funeral to our friends and will continue to do so. Thank you for making this difficult time so much easier for us.
