Type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition that affects the way that your body metabolizes sugar in order for it to use it as an energy source. It can either compromise insulin production and lead to not enough insulin to get produced, or it can also cause insulin resistance to occur. This is the most common type of diabetes.
Hypercalcemia is a condition that characterizes itself with a higher than normal concentration of calcium in the blood. Usually, the hypercalcemia causes more than 10.5 mg/dL of calcium to be present in the blood. The most common cause of hypercalcemia is overactive parathyroid glands. They stimulate the excess hormone that leads to more calcium being released from your bones, more calcium being absorbed, and less calcium to be excreted.
Hypoglycemia is a condition that is being caused by a decline in the blood sugar levels. Sugar is the main energy source for our bodies, which makes this condition potentially dangerous, including life-threatening. In 2011, approximately 282,000 adults visited the emergency due to low blood sugar levels.
A diabetes patient requires daily insulin administration as a way to keep his/her blood sugar levels as stable as possible. Insulin injections are one way to introduce the daily insulin requirements, but they can be quite uncomfortable thinking that multiple insulin shots are needed on a daily level.

The staff very kind, quick triage and placed in room. Dr. Achira came in within 5 minutes, very attentive, listened and explained exactly what he wanted as in tests to be performed with a rationale of why he wanted them. This evening he called and explained what tests came back as well as the results and what other tests we were waiting on. He as well as staff, were very professional!

I've been going too Dr.Alchira for a few Years or so maybe longer ,very nice and the staff is very sweet,very clean office,I love Dr. ALCHIRA he really helps you with you weight and your health issues,he gives you the medication you need.Blessing too Dr.Alchira& family & the entire staff and a Bless 2022!!! What drove me to go to there:When I was searching Google,Looking for a physician who is specialized in diabetes.I found Achira’s Clinic nearby and have 4+stars compared with others near this area.
The clinic has about 1/3 of the second story.Some of the rest of the building belongs for a fitness that owned by the clinic.It is used for people who are exercising to loss weight.Clinic has too many employees,everyone in front of a laptop.
I think this reputation came from people who are going there to loss

I don’t have enough words to tell you how amazing Dr. Achira is! I saw him 4 years ago at a different practice and he changed my life. He was the first and only doctor to ever listen to me and genuinely cared about what I was experiencing. After diagnosing me with PCOS he worked with me until I felt better. When he left the practice I tried 3 other doctors then stopped going because none of them were Dr. Achira. After going through IVF and pregnancy I’be been feeling like I was 4 years ago and figured I should try to find a doctor knowing none of them would compare. On a Google search I found

I find Dr. Achira and most of his staff to be friendly and professional. I am seeing him for weight loss and watching my thyroid. Dr. Achira speaks in easy to understand terminology vs a bunch of medical terms. You may have to wait a bit because he does not rush through patients. I recommend knowing whether or not your insurance requires a pre-authorization for weight loss medication. If they do, have that started early.

I’m so glad my husband met with Dr.Achira while a patient at Harper hospital. We made an appointment with his staff and we are very happy. He is very professional and explains everything about what the next steps are concerning my husband health and what we need to do. The staff is very friendly also.

Dr. Achira is very friendly and knowledgeable. he been my endocrinologist for over 8 years and I find him professional, caring, and extremely competent when it comes to managing my thyroid.
He always looks for new solutions and offers treatment options when available. he is supportive and understanding. Puts you at ease the moment you meet with him. He's understanding and compassionate. Cares about your well being.

Doctor appointments are usually not fun. Forget about what I just said when thinking about Dr. Achira and his team. I can tell you that this is so far the best experience I’ve had in any kind of medical interaction. All the staff members are very friendly and nice. They really go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and less nervous. Dr. Achira is very kind and listens to his patients. Thanks everybody at The Center for the great experience you’ve provided each time I visit. And this has only been my third visit.
