Monacelli, MD is a board certified plastic surgeon dedicated to excellence in patient care and surgical results - serving the Ithaca and Finger Lakes region of central New York, for over 20 years. Dr. Monacelli received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, and he obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Monacelli offers both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery to the Ithaca and Finger Lakes area. Cosmetic surgery is performed to reshape normal structures of the body in order to improve the patient's appearance and self-esteem. Cosmetic surgery is usually not covered by health insurance because it is elective.
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, often referred to by its product name Botox, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily weakens and softens the muscle actions that cause wrinkles, while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance.
Dr. Monacelli has extensive experience in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the breast. He has been in practice in Ithaca, NY for over 20+ years, and during that time, many of the cosmetic and major reconstructive surgeries that he has done, have been on the breast. Breast augmentation is one of the most common major cosmetic procedures that Dr. Monacelli performs.
Also known as brachioplasty, an arm lift reshapes the under portion of the upper arm, from the underarm region to the elbow. Fluctuations in weight, growing older and even heredity can cause your upper arms to have a drooping, sagging appearance. Exercise may strengthen and improve the underlying muscle tone of the upper arm, but it cannot address excess skin that has lost elasticity or underlying weakened tissues and localized fat deposits.

He has probably the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever been to. I only went for a consultation which cost me 100.00 and he made me feel like I was hopeless cause. He made it very clear that I was not a candidate for a tummy tuck but did it in a very humiliating way. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.

No problem with the Dr. and the work he did on the very minor procedure he did on my daughter but problem with the office. They called very early in the morning of her appointment (woke us up) and told us we had to move up her 4:30 appointment to 3:30 because they had a cancellation and basically didn't want to wait around for us. Ok we understand, so we bent over backwards and changed stuff around to come earlier for them. A week later and we were going to be 10 minutes late for a 2 second appointment to remove 2 stitches and when we called to politely tell them that and that we were on our way

I had what I thought was a ganglion cyst, but I had visited Doc Monacelli, and I had found out that I had a benign nerve tumor at the base of my left thumb, so I had went for surgery on 7/7/2020, to get that lump removed, and I’ll say that Doc Monacelli was gentle , and I didn’t even know that he removed the little nerve tumor , until after the surgery. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Doc Monacelli to anyone looking for an excellent hand surgeon. Doc Monacelli you Rock!

Dr Monacelli performed liposuction on my abdomen. He was very professional but I was very disappointed with my results. I paid a lot of money for nothing. He took so little fat out that you can’t even tell I had anything done. Now a year later I am going again to someone much better. I cringe at the amount of money I threw away. He should not be doing this procedure unless the person only needs about a teaspoon of fat removed.
