Drury Family Funeral Service
As funeral directors, our calling imposes upon us special responsibilities to those we serve. An important obligation is to provide information so that everyone can make informed decisions about funeral and cremation services.

Therefore, we are proud to offer this website as an additional tool to assist our families with items such as general funeral information, service and merchandise selections and options as well as directions to our facilities. We are also happy to post obituaries for family and friends to access and offer condolences or reflect on a life lived.

The building was built in the 1960's and served as a furniture store until it was converted into a mortuary. Taylor and Smock Furniture operated in the building until the Godby family purchased it in the early 1990's. In August of 2007 John Leppert and Matt Drury began converting the Godby Furniture store into what would become the Drury & Leppert Mortuary.

We have designed a spacious, comfortable and welcoming environment so that everyone will feel welcome. Although funeral service has changed over the years, many funeral service providers have not. Our philosophy is to provide professional, detailed and efficient service in a friendly manner.

Let our professional and experienced staff assist you and your family in creating a celebration of life that best represents the life they lived and will be long remembered. There is a difference in service and facilities, we invite comparison. Our guests are welcome to use our private conversation areas to visit with their family and friends outside of the visitation and service areas.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
