Services
Uptown Cafe opened in June of 2013. In an effort to give back to the community that supports them, founders David Yuill and Krista Bingham used all local labor and contractors, and opted to outfit Uptown in repurposed local building materials wherever possible. Much of the building materials were obtained from Trails End Recovery.
We offer catering services that fit your needs and your budget. Meet with Donnie and David to discuss a custom menu for your event. Ordered 2 to go monte cristos and while I was waiting a cocktail. BEWARE they add gratuity! Not sure if this is just on to go orders but they added a 10% gratuity to my to go order. I probably would have left more IF it wasn't added onto my bill. I understand on big parties added gratuity but on anything else is robbery! Completely ridiculous!

Stopped here for a quick lunch when I was driving through Warrenton and had one of their burgers. Place isnt bad but also isnt great, its kind of middle of the road food wise (I have had much better burgers in other places in Warrenton and Astoria). Though the food was fairly good, the service left alot to be desired, the waitress only took our order and then took our payment other than that it seems that she forgot about us.

Hard to mess up breakfast but they succeeded!
My company was the best part of the meal. The wait staff failed greatly with communication, most of the time we were ignored.
BUT, my friend commented immediately that "how can anyone mess up a pancake"... thirty minutes later she became very ill from food poisoning... Amazing! We will not return!

My friend and I went for a late breakfast here and had to wait nearly 40 min for our food, when we finally did get it, it was warm but quickly turned cold as the cold air from the AC was blowing directly down on our food. It was super cold in there, we could not even finish our food as it was freezing in there. I would also say that tables and chairs were poorly wiped down. Doubt I will return here again

It was nice. Everything was very nicely cooked and the servers were great. The atmosphere was European reminiscent. I was pleased with the beef stew but a tad disappointed by the Mexican Halibut. I was expecting a spicier and more complex flavor profile but what I got was basically bland with a slight touch of hatch chilis. It was, technically, a very nice done piece of fish though! For dessert we ordered the crème brûlée and it was significant, though with a thick shell and mild crème which finished the experience as an unbalanced sweetness as opposed to a rich or robust heaviness. I consider Uptown Cafe one of Butte's saving graces. Consistently consistent. Sometimes I am not sure if I appreciate UC because I have been going there for two decades or if it is for the food. No doubt, the atmosphere and home town personal service are at the top of my list for reasons I return again and again. The location is in historical downtown. Their wine list, while limited, hits all the necessities for a small town restaurant and I appreciate knowing, when I walk in the door, what to expect. The food quality can vary but is usually pretty good. Occasionally they will miss the boat on

I'm a big believer that 5-star reviews should be reserved for places that leave my jaw on the floor, and looking back to my experience here yesterday is exactly that.
My sandwich was the PERFECT balance of meaty and grilled and stacked-high and OMG I want another one. My onion rings were fantastic. They have clean bathrooms AND offered more than once to refill my to-go beverage as we waited to take our food to go. The folks working the counter were thorough, fun, and the whole place was squeaky clean and bright.
I literally could not have had a better lunch experience!

However, on Friday 9 /18 when we decided to eat dinner there and
bring our party of 8 , this was not the case.
(We live in Warrenton by the way and our guests were from Oregon City)
We called and asked about a reservation for the 8 of us.
Person answering phone said no reservations possible which was fine, but we wanted to give them a heads-up that we were coming .
Got there 15 minutes later and saw 5 people ahead of us waiting outside. We thought that maybe there was

Pretty standard diner type spot with a pretty good menu selection. There's not a ton of restaurants in the area, so we've been there a few times, never had a bad experience. The French dip, fries, chili, and salads are all pretty good. The only disappointing meal I've had is the Alfredo pasta, but there's lots of other menu options to keep me coming back. The service has been good every time.

I love coming to this restaurant. I am local and stop in from time to time. But today I had to request a different table because it was so cold. My mother in law was with us and was freezing. Looking around the restaurant Everyone (but me because I didn't have one) were eating in there coats. That is not comfortable. You may want to look into this and maybe think of the customers as well as the workers. (I know it is nice for them. But not for us). Thank you.

Visiting from out of town and looked for a place that had sit down dining and wifi - not a lot of choices during Covid-19, but found this Cafe in the back of a commercial mall and gave it a shot. Open floor plan, friendly staff, free WiFi, and most importantly... Good food! Ordered the eggs Benedict and was not disappointed. Would definitely eat here again.

Stopped in for lunch while on our Anniversary weekend, wife had the Avocobbo salad and I had the fish tacos. Food was great!! Wife raved about the salad, very fresh and the chicken was moist n tender. The fish tacos also were very good, well seasoned and super tasty! Staff was cheery and attentive even with all the Covid requirements! Well done all around. We have a new fave spot to eat while at the coast!

We had heard they had great food so popped in. We waited 50 minutes for food! Then when we got it everything was cold. They forgot toast so they warmed up some more bread and put butter on it. Wait, how can you mess up toast?
So disappointed. Lauren was our waitress and never apologized for the wait or our food that was cold. I could tell she came back from a break and I think it must have sat for 15 minutes or so. Horrible service, horrible food. Go to Pig and Pancake.
