Mount Hope Tractor Founder David Shetler remembers restoring his first tractor at age 16 like it was yesterday. It was his Father's 1930 John Deere GP. Ever since then, his love of tractors and God-given talent for bringing them back to life has mushroomed with each restoration. He opened Mount Hope Tractor in 2000.
We specialize in high quality, ground up, every nut and bolt restorations. Every aspect of the tractor is thoroughly examined, cleaned and repaired. If repair of the individual part is not possible, we can fabricate replacement parts as necessary to make our clients desires a reality. Whether it's a complete restoration, or one of our premium paint jobs, we only preform top of the line work.
Regardless of the brand or model of your tractor, we can fix it. Whether it's something major like problems with the motor, or something small like a faulty belt, our expert mechanics know just how to make your tractor purr. We also do complete mechanical overhauls if your tractor needs a little extra attention.

Every inch of paintable surface is given special attention, and eventually covered inside and out with high quality urethane automotive paint, which resists chipping and is much more resilient than enamel finishes.

Rental equipment is nice, but billing is where they try and get you. I shredded a batwing tire during transport. No big deal, it says in the rental agreement that I may be responsible for this. Nowhere on the billing statement did it say anything about the tire. Instead I was charged an extra half day for mower rental which I did not use (100$) and a cleaning fee of (50$) after I cleaned all chaff off of the tractor. When I called about the billing issues, I was told that they would be rectified, but I now owed 150$ for the tire. I would think some honesty would come I to play here. Just charge
