Welcome and thank you for visiting the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. Online. We have prepared this website to provide you with important information that is easy to understand. Located in Northwestern Pennsylvania the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. has two locations to serve the residents of Mercer and Crawford Counties.

Building upon a tradition of service that began in 1870, our mission is to serve the families in our community with care, concern, dedication, personalized service and professionalism. We freely admit that death is a difficult subject to address. But we recognize that the difficulty in discussing it is often overcome by a sense of relief when questions are accurately answered.
Services
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).
A United States flag is provided, at no cost, to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Armed Forces. It is furnished to honor the memory of a veteran's military service to his or her country. Generally, the flag is given to the next-of-kin, as a keepsake, after its use during the funeral service.
With 60 acres of farmland, a wooded ravine and 20 foot waterfall, guests enjoy the peaceful sounds of the waterfall, the quietness of the country and time to relax from a busy life. We offer three guest rooms with queen-sized beds and private baths. Julia's Waterfall Suite includes a Jacuzzi tub. The inn is a beautiful brick victorian house built in the late 1800s.

Mr Snyder was so patient and compassionate when we lost our dad. He spent time with us to make sure everything was planned for the service including military honors for our dad who served our country. The online obituary and memorial slideshow option was beautiful and something we will treasure forever. Words cannot express our gratitude for all he’s done for our family during this difficult time. Thank you Mr Snyder and family! May God bless you as you continue to serve those in mourning.
