I haven't gone to the salon to get my nails done in years & I thought it would be a fun treat, so I came here to get gel nails. I was really excited with the outcome at first because the nail polish I chose was really cool! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of my nails with the nail polish on, because the layers were so thick they peeled off after one day :(
On top of that the nail tech was super rough when doing my cuticles and they ended up looking worse than when I came in.
Overall, not really worth the money. Sad to say.

Wish I could give this place a negative star. Horrible service. These pictures are second time after "fileing down the nail" she offered to fix them because I told her I didn't like them. They were supper lumpy , glue and paint was on side of finger. Seems as if the right size nail wasn't use but rather any nail. Tip of nails had hard residue sticking out . I payed 65$ for these nails and was supper disappointed!:( . Even after she "fixed" they were still lumpy and over all crappy job. Do not suggest this place.

I really wanted to like it but I don’t feel like I got what I paid for. The three week old acrylics that I walked in with looked better then the ones I came out with. I asked for an almond shape and received a oval (I asked her to make them pointier and she filed them some more but barely changed the shape and it makes me nervous to ask again). Some of the nails are thicker on one side. There is a large gel polish bump on my thumb and missing spots on the sides and there was polish on my fingers. I paid and tipped well but, I wouldn’t recommend Solvang nail for acrylics.

Worst nail experience. After a 4 HOUR appointment, my acrylics were lumpy, not straight, completely different lengths (left index was a centimeter longer than right index). She didn't know what Matte was? I had to explain and she still did a normal shiny top coat. After 4 hours I just wanted to leave. I paid her and tipped very well because I felt bad she stayed after closing. But I'm just going to take them off. NOT WORTH IT.

Beware if you're new, they would charge you $10 to remove the gel, they will tell you this after, I called and asked how much much for a service and when I sat down there and my gel being wrapped, I saw a different price on the wall, I have been around Vietnamese people and I know what the numbers sound, so felt like I got ripped off, not only that, my gel started to peel off the next day smh!!! Flies all over the salon, didn't sanitize the UV liked lamp so not a very clean place!

Really not worth it. I came in with my grandmother for manicure and pedicure and when I asked for a simple heart on one of my finger nails you would have thought I was asking for Mona Lisa to be painted on my nails. They were rude about the whole situation. I wouldn't recommend this nail salon to anyone, I know there are better places in the area to go to. As you can see in my photos the hearts weren't even matching.

I really wanted to like this place. Not only is it close to my house, but I like supporting local businesses. Unfortunately, my experience was rather disappointing.
Hands: I requested coffin style nails with dip powder. I was given the sample pre-painted nails where you choose a dip powder color. I chose #470. As you can see on the picture, the end result is a shape that's clearly NOT coffin style. When my nails were done, the dip color was COMPLETELY different from what I had selected, and this is when I was informed that I selected from the gel colors and the gel and dip #470 are not the same

Needed a pedicure while traveling and stopping off in Solvang. Walk-in welcome. Very clean, sterile tools. Files were not reused, they gave them to me in a baggie at the after my pedicure. Seemed like some regulars as well as visitors in the shop. Prices were not inflated because it’s in a tourist town.

Unfortunately was a disappointing experience when I came here with my best friend. She is getting married on Saturday so this was a really important detail and we had hoped this would be the right place. We started out wanting to get a mani/pedi and leg wax for both of us. We made an appointment ahead of time. I don't have all bad things to say, but overall we weren't happy with our experience.

My friends and I, all locals, went into Solvang Nails for a triple pedicure. I was asking the employee about Gel nails, as I had never gotten them done before. In fact, I haven't had a real manicure since the 90s, when acrylic nails were popular!
She was explaining to me how gel were much better now, and that for $36 I could have them done right after my pedicure. I thought that was a reasonable price, and decided to go ahead and get them done. Haven't had a mani AND pedi in years!

I usually don't complain, but I need to warn you. DON'T GO TO THIS SALON!! They dont know what they are doing!!! The quality is way below any accptable nail salon standard. My daughter asked for acrylics and as she was leaving, the nail popped off right in the salon. HOW DOES AN ACRYLIC NAIL POP OFF?!? The technician laughed and glued the nail back on. An hour later, another nail popped off. The technician could not file her toes nail correctly, so now, her toe nails are too short. This salon is sloppy and unprofessional.

Today was the first time I have done dip. I didn't know the process, so I feel bad for my complicated color selection. But I am definitely happy with the outcome! I have been here a couple times before but had only gotten pedicures. Each visit, they have been professional and patient! Great massage chairs as well!! Will keep coming back!

Go to lux nails Santa Barbara ask for Andy for good nails. Had to get redone by owner and still messed up. Super glue all over my fingers and nails. The white tips on my toes are so bad my 7 year old could have done a better job. Beyond disappointed in this business. I feel all of solvang bussiness do everything half fast. That why I won't be getting anything done in solvang again. Santa Barbara is so much better.

Made an appointment, then an hour after that they finally started on me. Lady drilled under my nail enough for it to bleed on the towel, and didn't even put alcohol on it! I feel like I need a tetanus shot after having all those filthy tools touch an open wound. On top of that the manicure was mediocre at best, with the nails fat and misshapen and the gel uneven; you can see where she didn't put a top coat so half the nails are nearly matte! I am usually pretty understanding with manicures--it is a drill under your nail, after all--but this was downright disgusting. When I stood to leave

The first experience there, a month ago, was okay. The owner, I assume, provided a nice gel manicure. I was happy.
BUT! Yesterday, another employee gave me a gel manicure and I have hated it! She didn't let the acetone rest on my previous gel set long enough. She DUG at my nails horribly. After all that, she didn't get all the previous color off...my nails have been so sore today. I see hairs/fibers in the gel! The shape of my nails is grotesque.
I will not be back and will not recommend this place to anyone! Money wasted.

We were walk-in's and I got a mani-pedi while my BF sat in the massage chair. Everyone there was great!! They totally took care of us.
Even mixed 2 different colors for my toes! Would totally come back to this place when in the area. Gel nails look great. Only thing is I messed up one of my toes unfortunately, totally my fault. They are great! If you need your nails done, come here!!!

In town visiting family and needed to destress and get my nails redone, so tried this salon out. I am very pleased with the results! My gel mani was done with meticulous care, though I'm used to having a hand/arm massage with it. My pedi was terrific! The leg massage almost put me to sleep and my toes are nicely painted with no problems.
Will come again if I'm back in town!
