I encountered Carlyle through a client of his, he was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable as our family was going through this crisis. Mr Carlyle Varlack is a horrible Attorney. My experience with him has been nothing but very unprofessional and just wanting my cash. As soon as my wife called him about my case, he did not even ask about the charges, he immediately asked for $5000.00 and my wife gave it to him. After that he stopped answering our calls , and avoided any contact. He does not have a office and wanted to meet somewhere in Oakland random place. for Confidentiality of my case and respect, I suggested to meet at his office but he declined. Hired varlack last year to represent my husband in criminal legal matters. at the time i was 17. Varlack complete took advantage of the fact that i was under age and uneducated in how scandalous lawyers can be, I really thought he was there for my husbands well being. Varlack made 3 appearances in court, with which he did nothing but push the court dates back. mind you , i was paying varlack in payments. It was $350 every month but he would push the cases back 2 or 3 months. at the 3rd appearance varlack had got me for about $4000, in which we agreed he would take on the cases for $6000. At the
