Aquastar Cruises
The boat formerly known as The Port City Princess has been cruising Muskegon shores since 1987. The previous owners were ready to exit the business and made arrangements for the boat to move to a Northern Michigan port. To keep the boat in Muskegon, Sand Products purchased the boat and extensively upgraded with aesthetic and structural renovations featuring a modern deco theme.

Now known as the "Aquastar", she stands out with a color scheme inspired by the SS AQUARAMA, the largest passenger ferry ever on the Great Lakes. The Aquastar continues to cruise Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan allowing her passengers to enjoy getting out on our special lakes. We offer both private charters and public cruises.
Services
Be in the middle of the action as the Aquastar leads the MPW Parade of Power down the Muskegon Channel. Not only will you enjoy a cruise on Muskegon Lake and see all the power boats, you will help us raise money for three different charity partners: Big Brothers and Big Sisters Lakeshore, Operation Black Sheep, and the Grand Valley University Dance Team.
Spend some quality time out on the water enjoying the views while sampling some o four favorite wines! You will enjoy 5 samples of great wines, a beautiful sunset cruise and have a commemorative glass to take home. There is nothing better than sampling our best summer sines from around the world while cruising the lake.
Help us end the cruising season with an Oktoberfest celebration. Odd Side Ales is bringing their special brews and the first one is included with the price of your ticket. We look forward to enjoying a beautiful sunset while cruising Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan.

We will be sampling some of Odd Side Ales fall brews including: Oddtoberfest, Pumpkin Spice Bean Flicker, Pineapple Pink Guava Crushies, Moscow Mule Seltzer and Don't You Forget About Me (West Coast IPA).Enjoy a nice sunset and fun with friends on Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan, plus craft beers from Pigeon Hill Brewin.

Get there early! Or you won't have a seat! Ended up 1/2 standing/1/2 leaning on a box of life jackets the entire trip. Signed up for a sunset cruise with some friends. It was super chill-no welcome or announcements. The boat just took off a few minutes after the start time, motored around, turned around at the sunset (if you were distracted talking, you would totally miss it because it wasn't announced) and then headed back. Music was good. Bar was great-would love to have some more snack options or fun non-alcoholic choices. Overall, very laid back evening and I would go ahead, I would

Had a wonderful time on the cruise. The sunset was short but nice for Michigan. This had been the third sunset cruise this year. A great company that makes sure the cruise is safe and enjoyable. Would recommend this cruise yo everyone.

It was fun and great service, I would say that they need to wipe down boat clear of cobwebs before they have people seated!!

We enjoyed the Aquastar cruise very much. We got to see a beautiful sunset and the music by Legal Rehab was great. We would definitely do it again.

The hula dancers did a great job. To call this a Luau Cruise is a stretch. Food was not Luau food. Everyone took their seats to be entertained rather than moving about the boat which made for a stale sail. All in all it is what you make it, so we had fun. For any of these cruises, try to get on the boat early to get a good spot to sit or you will be downstairs away from the entertainment.

I think they should be careful of how many tickets to seats they sell. Other than that it is an awesome and relaxing cruise ❤️ also we couldn't hear the music from where we had to sit

We celebrated our wedding reception on the Aquastar and I cannot recommend them enough. Patrick and his team were so great to work with and they went above and beyond to make our day perfect. We received so many compliments on how nice the boat was and what a unique venue it was! If you are thinking about hosting a private event, book a tour for the Aquastar. You won't be disappointed!!

Very nice experience! We went on the sunset cruise and there was a band playing. Beautiful views and friendly staff! Dinks were a bit pricey ($13 for 2 12oz can's), but hot dog , chips, and water for my son was reasonable. We will go again :-)

It was a beautiful day so we booked a last minute 3pm cruise especially after learning veterans and first responders ride free. We looked forward to learning the history of the area and taking a nice cruise on the lake.
The good: price, length of tour, going out on lake Michigan even if for a very short time, the bar on board that served beer
The bad: narration stopped less than halfway through tour and the narrator left talking on a personal cell phone. Her backup spoke little and was very unenthusiastic. Upper front deck speaker was broke so you had to sit in the back to hear.

I have been on the cruise twice this year. Staff are very friendly. There is an upper deck opened up to feel the breeze, stairs accessible only. Main floor, handicap accessible with windows and great view. Alcoholic beverages and soda available. No hot coffee or tea. I am part of Madlos, dancing, which they opened up for our members, along with the public, to teach dance classes and dance the night away on scheduled days only. We use their wireless blue tooth speakers to play our music on top floor. Main floor is for the ones who want to take in the view with little noise. Looking forward in bringing

Today's sunset cruise was wonderful. The staff was extremely great. My family enjoyed the calm cruise around Muskegon Lake towards Lake Michigan. Also enjoyed meeting new friends. Make sure to bring jackets or blankets for the cool breeze, but if you forget, branded ones are available for purchase. Snacks and drinks are also available for purchase. We look forward to doing the Sunset Cruise again.

This was an amazing cruise. It was relaxing and a very pleasant time. The crew was very friendly and the price was fair. Totally worth it, even if you've been on Muskegon Lake before! Thank you Aquastar.

We went here for sunset cruise! Oh what fun!!! This was an anniversary surprise from hubby, I had no idea that he booked this! But I was more surprised at how affordable it is. $25 each and our baby free for a 2hr boat ride. It went around muskegon lake and Lake Michigan. We passed the lighthouses. It got cold but we were all prepared - we all had sweaters! They sell some drinks and snacks on board. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a fun experience for such an affordable price!

We had a wonderful sunset cruise last night! The kids loved the snacks and lemonade and the adults loved the cocktails! I had some problems trying to buy tickets but the staff went above and beyond with great customer service. I told my family that even if the cruise was awful, dealing with Aquastar was so great that i flying really really complain. Lucky for us, the cruise was great.

We decided to do the sunset cruise and it was worth the price. It was a beautiful cruise and it took about 2 hours. We were around local lake and then went into Lake Michigan. I loved every minuet of it. We got to watch the sun set and got to take beautiful pictures.

We had an awesome time on the AQUASTAR - better than the Loveboat! Had the perfect sunset cruise this June. The ship honors Muskegon's history as a Port City (the boat was formerly the Port City Princess) and home to the Aquarama and the Milwaukee Clipper. The princess got a well-deserved makeover and now boasts two great bars (well-stocked) and confortable seating. The crew everyone knows and loves is still aboard ensuring great tunes and a good time. Nowhere else can you get such a beautiful sunset and great service for the price. A perfect activity for guests visiting the Big Lake for the
