Bill Mortensen started Mortensen Roofing Company in 1962. He serviced the residential sector offering re-roofing services as well as new construction roofing. Bill owned and operated his roofing business for 35 years. During that time he earned a reputation with the public and his employees for being a fair, honest and professional businessman.
In 1997 Bill retired from the roofing business and passed his company down to his son John. John was able to learn the roofing trade from his father at an early age and benefitted greatly by working beside his father for twenty years. Mortensen Roofing Company is now a second generation residential roofing company that specializes in cedar shakes, composition shingles, and concrete tiles.

From the estimate forward, I found working with the owner, John Mortensen, to be easy and professional. His bid was clearly the best I received. His crew, especially the supervisor, Humberto were skilled, professional, friendly, and helpful. Humberto’s entire attitude was “we will make it right”. The crew thoroughly cleaned the premises at the end of each day. The roof looks great, and the repair work they had to do (replacing a 35 year old roof) was done quickly and, again, professionally. I’m not prone to writing glowing reviews, but I was, quite frankly, thoroughly impressed. Roof replacement

Mortensen Roofing has repaired my old flat top roof and installed new gutters. He is prompt and very friendly. Will work with any schedule you have and is always able to fix problems. We had a drain problem with the roof and his idea to correct the problem has worked great...especially with some of these heavy rains. John is the best!!!
