Services
In 1982 Signal Electronics began operations in Freeport, Texas providing service and sales to the local marine industry. Its founder, Dave Alston, had been working in the marine electronics business as an installer, technician, and shop manager for the previous ten years. Signal's product lines, services, and customer base grew rapidly.
The new owner of this beautiful boat hired Signal to upgrade the electronics package and reconfigure the helm console. The completed system will include seven (7) networked multi-function displays, twelve (12) high definition cameras (including thermal), on-board wifi, and much more. The project should be completed soon and we'll post pictures and details.
It was just another routine fishing trip out of Freeport for four men aboard a 40-foot Viking. The weather was good and everyone was excited about the prospects of a great trip. Then someone smelled smoke. A quick peek under the hatch revealed flames coming from the aft end of one of the engines.
