Paternity issues can be a sensitive, personal matter, whether you are establishing or disputing your parental rights and responsibilities. Child support is typically a set payment from one parent to another to contribute to the financial cost of upbringing a shared child or children. Who pays child support may depend on which parent has primary custody of the child and/or which parent has the lower income. Calculating child support in Illinois uses a statutory guideline as a starting point.
A prenuptial agreement is a legal contract. It outlines how marital assets and debts will be divided should the marriage end, whether in divorce or in death. It is sometimes used to protect the rights and assets of children from a previous marriage. Many couples opt to have a prenuptial agreement in order to ensure that their property and assets are handled according to their wishes in the event of divorce or death.

Mike helped me with my divorce, He explains all the choices and worst case scenarios of what may happen. He is not one of those lawyers that likes to keep couples fighting to add to the bill. He is very knowledgeable, thorough, and fair priced for his services. I would recommend Schiffman family law to everyone.
