Dr. Christine Stang is a lifelong native of Virginia and grew up in the Shenandoah Valley. After graduating from James Madison University, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, summa cum laude, from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV).

I have been impressed with Dr. Stang's honesty and more conservative approach to treatment. She earned our trust during consultation, as opposed to other orthodontists who immediately decided early treatment was necessary. Dr. Stang's entire staff is friendly and calming. My son, who sometimes has anxiety, has had a great experience all around, and he actually enjoys going for his visits. Oh yeah, and his teeth look great!

I am SOOO happy I decided to get braces as an adult and to have my treatment done with Dr. Stang. Dr. Stang is awesome! She always treated me well and never made me feel silly for wanting to get braces as an adult. She was always positive and kept me thoroughly informed throughout the process. The best music is always being played during the appointments (which I wonder how they get any work done - it always feels like a party when I'm there!) and the decor is hip which makes you feel like you're someplace special. PLUS, I can't say enough good things about her wonderful team! All so nice, professional

I just signed up my daughter for orthodontics work. Dr. Stang and her staff were awesome and patient with my kid! Her office is bright, clean and welcoming with what appears to be the latest technology. My daughter is nervous- the staff did a great job calming her nerves and explaining each of the steps of what they were doing and answering questions about future appointments.
I also appreciate how much Dr. Stang and her staff do in the community.

Dr. Stang did absolutely everything in her power to give me the best smile she could even as we overcame some bumps along the way. The first time I noticed my new smile, I almost couldn't believe how much it changed my whole appearance and I am beyond happy with my results! As an adult who never had braces as a kid, this treatment has surpassed my expectations! Not only has Dr. Stang and the whole team been absolutely stellar, they’ve all been so kind and super professional during Covid. They have also been extremely flexible with me as life happens. I really had a great experience here and Dr. Stang is a fabulous orthodontist. She took a problem that was causing me a lot of problems, an open bite, and fixed it efficiently with Invisalign and accommodated my schedule despite me living in Ohio. I managed to get appointments and reschedule easily when I was in town. As an older patient getting braces at 25 I was a bit uncomfortable at the beginning with the idea of any dental work but it was a really smooth process. Fantastic office, clean, and really professional. I got a great deal paying in full. My issue was related to using a soft bite guard

For years I had a really bad overbite that was not even on my radar. I knew my bottom teeth were coming in contact with the roof of my mouth and that from time to time it was really sore after chewing certain foods. Thinking I was too old for braces, I never considered orthodontic treatment. After my complementary consultation, Dr Stang told me she could correct my smile and my overbite. I had had braces over 40 years ago, My siblings and I were overseas and the dentist thought he was an Orthodontist. I now know he was not. Under Dr Stang, I received excellent care. My time has passed so quickly

We consulted three orthodontists before selecting Dr. Stang for our daughter's care. Having met two other orthodontists previously, we thought we knew what to expect. The other two had two different recommendations, so we were hoping Dr. Stang would be the tiebreaker. Well, she recommend a third alternative that was superior.
She's also very empathetic to her patients, as she pointed out habits my daughter had developed to compensate for her misalignment (which was news even to my daughter.)

We LOVE Dr. Stang! I have a 10-year-old and we were both nervous about her getting braces (I recall how stressful and painful they were as a child). Other orthodontists suggested very invasive-type braces, but Dr. Stang promoted a slower, less painful approach. My daughter is on Phase 1 with her braces and she also wears headgear at night, which she has no issues with so far. In fact, my usually-picky child is quite content in her headgear, sleeps fine, and asked if she could wear it to school (thanks Katy Perry for making braces cool to 4th graders).

A few weeks back ago I walked into Stang Family Orthodontics for x rays regarding my cross bite. As I walked in I noticed right away that the patient waiting room was different from other offices in terms of being relaxing and welcoming. The second I walked In I was greeted kindly and felt appreciated for my services with them. Which made the experience I had with them even more greater than I've ever had from start to end. When I was seen I noticed that the office was very well kept and up to date which sometimes isn't the case for most offices. Something that caught my eye was the pictures
