Pediatric dentistry is the specialty of dentistry that focuses on the oral health of young people. After completing a four-year dental school curriculum, two to three additional years of rigorous training are required to become a pediatric dentist. This specialized program of study and hands-on experience prepares pediatric dentists to meet the needs of infants, children and adolescents, including persons with special health care needs.

Services
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics all recommend that children see a dentist when the 1st tooth erupts, and no later than 6 months of age. These early visits are very focused on preventing cavities before they ever start.
Our pediatric dentist, Dr. Shradha Bansal, is truly passionate to work with children and teens. This passion developed early in life and her thirst for knowledge in children's oral health were the driving force for leading her into a career in dental pediatrics. After graduating from dental school, she completed graduate program in Pediatric Dentistry during which she received extensive training in hospital and clinical pediatric dentistry.
Early and regular visits to a pediatric dentist are critical for your child's well-being, and set the stage for a lifetime of oral health. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics all advise parents to take their children to a pediatric dentist by one year of age, and no more than six months from the appearance of the first tooth.
To ensure you're able to care for their oral health after an injury, we have same day appointments available! Any time you call our office with emergency concerns, we are committed to working with you over the phone, or getting your child in for a visit as soon as possible. If you haven't had an appointment with us previously, and come to us first for an emergency, that's OK!
Our new office is designed specifically for kids and most of our patients think that "getting a filling" is actually fun! We will offer your child the choice of watching TV or a movie. We will also offer your child nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia or "happy air" to help them be more relaxed. Most of the time we will be able to restore teeth with a tooth-colored bonded composite material.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! I would recommend Issaquah Kids Dentistry to everyone. My son has Autism , the Doctor took the time to explain what is going on & what needs to be done, the staff talks you through every step. Everyone is very patient and kind to my special needs child. The dentist took her time to talk with me and most importantly my son.This was our first time being here & we felt as if we were long time patients. From here on this is our go to dentist office!!!! Highly recommend bringing your children to Issaquah Kids Dentistry🙏😊

We recently moved from private insurance to state insurance. Our previous dentist dropped us due to that, but I found this place and they treated us with full respect and loved and welcomed our kids. I am so glad I found this place - very knowledgeable dentist and great staff. If anyone is looking for a great kids dentist who does not drop you like hot cake and treats you with respect will definitely recommend them

Happy to find this dentist! It is a newer office so you do not have to wait long in the lobby for your appointment. The dentist took her time to explain what my children needed and went over X-rays.
The office is new but the Dentist herself has been practicing for some time in Covington and locally as well at Swedish Medical. She was very kind and the office was warm and inviting.
Feedback for improvement: Have an option of filling paper out while sitting or electronically. Electronic is difficult to fill out standing, with a baby. Also, I would recommend more knowledge on insurance coverage

We were taking our kids to my general dentist. we came for an emergency visit for our daughter. My testimony is when my daughter herself said that she wants to come here for her dental visits. Very patient and knowledgeable dentist. very gentle staff. we are bringing both our kids dentist here from now on.
