Engineer Archie Becher Sr. and Land Surveyor Melvin Hoppe teamed up in 1954 to provide professional engineering and surveying services to Wausau and throughout north central Wisconsin. The same service lines our company is built around today. Hundreds of successful and varied projects later, our firm remains committed to serving our community and region, working with municipal, county and state governments; along with developers, agricultural clients, private institutions, and businesses throughout the state.

Maintenance and rehabilitation of dam structures is a vital safety necessity as they age. Becher Hoppe's pre-design phase includes hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of existing or proposed structures to establish a cost effective course of action to meet dam safety compliance requirements and develop associated probable costs.
With Becher Hoppe's deep history in airport engineering and surveying, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS)/drones are a natural fit for our clients' needs and staff's passions. Becher Hoppe has multiple FAA certified commercial remote pilots on staff. With these individuals' experience we can approach every flight mission in safe and professional matter, even within airport operation areas and controlled airspace.
