Services
After completing my studies in Public Health, with a focus on Women's Health, I wanted to link my education with my background in the service industry. Having practiced for the last fifteen years I have honed my skills under the guidance of doctors, estheticians, day spas and medical spas. I have been part of the opening crew of a destination spa in the Presidio and have also helped small businesses grow their client base.
Waxing is, quite simply, the epilation of unwanted hairs. Using both hard wax and strip wax, the warm wax is applied to the areas to be waxed and then quickly removed taking those unwanted and pesky hairs with it. Honeypot is a clean and sanitary studio ensuring the highest quality of care in our hair removal services.
If very sensitive, take an Advil or Aleve at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment, any pain reliever/anti-inflammatory of your choice is a okay. Let us know if you have been on any skin medications that could affect your waxing service. These include but are not limited to Accutane, Alpha or Beta Hydroxy Acids (glycolic, salicylic etc.), Antibiotics, Benzoyl Peroxide, Differin, Retin-A/Retinol or any other skin thinning medication.
Honeypot's one-woman show of sugaring and waxing comes courtesy of 'punky proprietress' Anna Crowley. The shop's name is a cheeky homage to its Brazilian and bikini services, which start at $35. Pain is not a prerequisite at Honeypot, where punky proprietress Anna Crowley shapes up unruly brows and uses the ancient Middle Eastern technique of sugaring.

Long overdue review - I've been seeing Anna for nearly two years now and no other waxer can compare to her top-notch level of service, fun personality, good vibes and delicious cocktails. Anna is truly just so skilled at what she does! I couldn't recommend her more and I literally would not go anywhere else.

Anna has always been amazing, but in these trying times with COVID she really stepped up to the plate. Honeypot was the first place I went after 5 months of quarantine (other than the grocery store). I didn't realize how nervous I was to be in a public space! Anna put my mind at ease with her new COVID processes. Everything is always super clean at Honeypot, but she's added additional cleaning and sanitizing processes to her already extensive cleaning processes to ensure customers are safe and healthy. Anna makes the experience of waxing so much more "enjoyable" with friendly conversation, jokes, and just an overall wonderful energy! I've found my waxer! I loved all the collected bee decor and overall art in the office too, but it was BEE-utiful ;)

Made an appointment for a quick eyebrow wax here and Anna did a great job! I'm very nervous about going with anyone other than my usual eyebrow lady but she's all the way in the East Bay so I thought I'd take a risk and it paid off! Anna cleaned up my eyebrows and kept them thick how I like them and kept my shape - will come back here next time I'm in a pinch! $27 for just eyebrows is a bit steep but cheap compared to other SF spots.

Anna is not only a marvelous esthetician, she's a lovely human being and a pleasure to visit with on the regular. Getting your "naughty bits" primped is a rather intimate affair, and I don't just let anyone go down there if you know what I mean! ;)

I booked a 5:15 appt via the website and received a confirmation over 24 hours in advance, but no one was there when I arrived. I called, left a voicemail, and sent an email to check in. I haven't heard back to reschedule, or even for an apology.
I left work early, traveled to make this appointment, and now I am going on a beach vacation tonight without a wax, so overall very disappointed in the lack of communication.
It seems like a good place but I wouldn't rely on your appt confirmation, especially if you need a wax by a certain date!

First time ever getting any type of Brazilian service so I was really nervous, but I'm glad I went to Honeypot. It went really well!
The space looked cozy and nice, had cute, fun, and feminine decor. Just looking around I was actually starting to feel a bit excited for the service. But Anna on another hand, she is such a doll. She is so funny and personable, yet super professional at the same time. She made me feel at ease right away with a couple of cocktails and explained to me how sugar hair removal works.
Since I have never had any previous experience with wax or sugar hair removal
