When Jimmy Clark purchased Guy M. Turner in 1985, the company consisted of about four cranes, two trucks, and five rigging crews. Thirty years later, we've expanded to become one of the largest and most recognized crane, rigging, and heavy/specialized transportation companies in the United States. Nowadays, we operate out of a 50,000-square-foot facility that spans over 25 acres.
Guy M. Turner's rich history began in 1924, when two brothers from Covington, V.A. decided to form a trucking outfit. Over the next few decades, the company thrived, eventually adding rigging to its list of services. The company was active throughout WW2, shipping military equipment to where it was most needed.

Turner offers crane rentals in NC, SC, and VA from its locations in Greensboro, Raleigh/Durham, Burlington, and Winston-Salem, NC. We also offer crane rentals in VA from our Martinsville, VA location.

Incompetent and vile!
My company recently hired out the transportation of some industrial sawmilling equipment across town to Turner Inc. Bad decision from the get-go: the representative I spoke with on the phone used profanity and racial slurs in our first conversation, and everything was downhill from there.
The milling equipment arrived dinged and damaged, and we have had to replace one drive so far. Avoid this racist, incompetent company at all costs.
