Residents should prepare and set out materials on their regularly scheduled. The upcoming Labor Day holiday does impact solid waste collection services provided to the 34 Mid Michigan Waste Authority (MMWA) member communities. With the holiday falling. Residents should prepare and set out materials on their regularly scheduled collection day.
Services
Mid Michigan Waste Authority grew out of a vision shared by a group of public works directors who were interested in offering or improving their community's curbside solid waste collection services. As the professionals charged with overseeing municipal public services, they knew they could secure better prices and a wider array of services if they joined together to hire a waste hauler.
Thank you for your interest in Mid Michigan Waste Authority. Resident education is a priority for us, so if you have questions about your curbside collection services or need more information about one of our programs, we want to hear from you! Please call our office at (989) 781-9555 between 8:30 am and 5 pm.

Yard waste worker is lazy and can clearly be seen from survailence cameras not performing simple yard waste removal.
My yard waste personnel couldn't even empty a small 15gal yard waste container full of twigs and grass weighing less than 20lbs (also has wheels). Container has been used for years but apparently he's new and doesn't have to do his job because they "aren't in a bag or garbage can" . Facebook will have some good closeups of said Worker and Container he couldn't bare to lift.

Not that I have a choice about who picks up my trash, my township chooses. But if I could choose my own company, I wouldn't choose MMWA. These drivers will randomly decide to not pick up my garbage for weeks at a time, right now I have two weeks in my garage. The first week they didn't leave me any note or reason, just didn't take it. The next week they left a note saying too heavy, but I had spent an hour taking things out of the can and into separate bags, which I set next to the can and they took, but they wouldn't take the (lighter than 50 LB) can sitting there full. When I called to find out

With the purchase of my new home I got one "perk" I was not expecting: five basement shelves worth of hazardous waste - insecticides, paint, mole killer, oil, and other toxic stuff. I attended three of the haz waste and paint collection days this summer - good stuff! Will be back next year when I clean out the garage.

I have never had issues before about my trash can and now after years of them picking up my trash they are refusing cuz the can is a 50 gallon can but it's not even full. Two small 13 gallon bags are in it and yet it's too heavy for them! Pretty bad I'm a female that has no problem letting it but apparently it's too heavy! What a joke!!!

Our drivers in Thomas Twnsp are the BEST. Today it's really windy, coming home I saw garbage cans all over the place. In yards, on the road, everywhere the wind blew them. But coming down Frost Road from Thomas Road my cans were neatly turned upside down. Mind you, no messy junk under them either. Don't know who he (or she) is but they deserve a giant "WELL DONE".
