Bob's Auto Upholstery was established in the fall of 1975. Bob and his wife Jeanne spent the previous 4 years in the U. S. Air Force, where Bob learned the upholstery trade. After his discharge, the couple moved to Hamburg, New Jersey and opened their first shop. During those early years, only cars and trucks were restored or repaired. Sometime later, a friend convinced Bob to work on boats, including interiors, biminy tops and covers. Work on motorcycles followed around the same time.

Old world craftmanship is alive and well at Bob's Auto Upholstery. They did a fantastic job on my old Mercedes interior.
Moreover they have a great attitude and the patience of saints. Three times my vendor sent wrong color or seat covers that did not fit.
There is no reason to consider anyone else. Based on a friend's recommendation, I drove 1.5 hours each way. Bob's is worth a trip from anywhere.
