Services
In 1955 Forrest E. Zeis opened Zeis Funeral Home on Detroit Ave. in Lakewood. Realizing a need for a comfortable, attractive facility dedicated to serving families that have lost a loved one, Forrest E. Zeis established a true home setting while not forsaking any of the modern amenities that provide comfort and convenience to families seeking refuge during their time of loss.
We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Staff members of Zeis McGreevey Funeral Home and Cremation Service are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Chad grew up with the business having lived with his family in both Lakewood and Rocky River.
Conveniently located on Detroit Rd. between Columbia Rd. and Crocker Rd. We have two large viewing areas able to accommodate large family gatherings with over 100 parking spots and meticulously maintained facilities. Our two large parlor funeral home is able to accommodate large family visitations and services.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

Chad and his staff were very gracious to help me and my family on our difficult time to go through with ease. They were always there with helpful hands in all ways to offer their knowledge. Thank you very much Chad, Elizabeth, and all their staff. Your presence being there were tremendous. Again, thank you so much!

When a family member passes, it can be very hard to navigate through all of the various time-sensitive decisions that must be made to uphold a decedent's wishes. Unfortunately, this very situation occured recently in our family with the unexpected passing of a loved one. Our family felt overwhelmed and lost until we contacted Zeis-McGreevey for their professional services. Jack, Chad and Elizabeth were kind, compassionate, understanding and HONEST throughout the process and beyond. I remain GRATEFUL for the Zeis-McGreevey group and would recommend their services to anyone facing the same, unexpected

We can’t thank you enough, Chad, for taking a very sad occasion and helping us navigate through it with ease. Every question we had was answered. Almost everything we thought we had to do was answered with, “We do that. I’ll take care of it.” From our first phone call to the wake, church and dinner, we were stress free because of you. Thank you for everything.
