Thank you for visiting the Page County Landfill and Recycling Center website. The Page County Landfill serves residents throughout the county and surrounding areas built in 1975, the facility consists of 35 acres and is a 28E Governmental Entity. The landfill accepts approximately 50 tons per day of waste and recycles an additional 1,500 tons per year from its various recycling drop-off locations.
The recycling program began in 1997 with a contractor hauling materials, but the Page County Landfill staff took over the recycling program in 2007 with the help of an Iowa Department of Natural Resources SWAP (solid waste alternatives program) grant.
