While Medicaid covers a portion of the daily expenses for our residential patients, there is still an annual deficit.
Founded in 1966, Youth Home, Inc., located in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a private non-profit mental health provider. In the mid-1980's, Youth Home's program developed into a medical model directed by child and adolescent psychiatrists. Our continuum of care includes adolescent intensive residential and qualified residential treatment, specialty tracks, and school-based services, as well as outpatient services for individuals of all ages.
Unique in Arkansas, Youth Home's highly successful Intensive Psychiatric Residential Treatment program specializes in the treatment of emotional and behavioral health of adolescents ages 12 to 17. Treatment plans are individualized with lengths of stay typically ranging from 3-7 months. This program is staffed 24/7 by a comprehensive team of professionals and is located on our beautiful, open 52 acre campus.
Youth Home's Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) follows The Family First Prevention Services Act which emphasizes the importance of children growing up in families and helps ensure children are placed in the least restrictive, most family-like setting appropriate to their special needs when foster care is needed.
As a TRICARE(R)-certified residential facility for patients ages 12 to 17, Youth Home, Inc. is committed to treating each adolescent as an individual and providing exceptional treatment for military families from anywhere in the world. Our program addresses children's entire wellbeing including medical, psychiatric, social, and academic needs.

It’s been almost 10 years since my leaving Youth Home and I could not be more grateful. I’m happy to see some of the wonderful staff still work there. I think about Youth Home often as it made a huge impact on my life. Mostly on how to be an incredibly empathetic person, build social skills, have a strong relationship with family, to be myself, and of course being a mature woman. Thank you so much.

I just recently discharged from Youth Home. My life was completely changed while I was there. I had a whole circle of love and support all around me that I honestly didn't believe I ever would experience or have. Allyson Shoptaw was my therapist during my stay at Youth Home. She will forever have a special place in my heart. Allyson not only helped me uncover things I didn't even know I was holding but she gave me the time to open up and believed in me when I couldn't believe in myself. She was someone I really gained a connection with. I trusted her. Not at the beginning but closer to the end

I was recently discharged from Youth Home, and i'm just going to come out with it, thank God that this place helped me. Peyton Woodruff was the best therapist, even though we had our moments:). It was like she knew what I was feeling even when I didn't know what I was feeling. I would end up refusing the treatment sometimes and avoiding family sessions, but she pushed me to work harder, even when I didn't want to. She even saw around all of my little tricks to get out of therapy, but I'm glad that I eventually gave up trying to outsmart her. I also loved the amazing house staff. Broderick Parker

This place is an amazing place for troubled kids, I personally went there myself this year. I was at youth home for 4 months and 1 week. this is like no other place I have seen before. the staff are amazing, they welcome you there and work hard to get to know you and do anything they can to help you. now I cant speak for any other kids but the people at youth home really helped me. the only downside of youth home is that the food isn't all that good
