Marval Resort is a family campground located on a peaceful haven of 105 acres in the foothills of the Oklahoma Ozarks. The Lower Illinois River runs alongside one side about 5 miles below the Lake TenKiller Dam and makes for great fishing opportunities. Whether you're looking to fish, to play or to just enjoy the quiet and great outdoors, you are always welcome at Marval Family Camping Resort.
Two-day minimum rental is required, three-day minimum during holidays and special events. Personal carts, electric or gas motorized vehicles or toys are not allowed on the property. Credit card payment in full is required at time of reservation. You must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license to rent or drive a cart.
It's no secret that this area is known for great fishing. Enjoy a trip you plan on your own or hire a guide to take you where the biting is good a plentiful. These waters won't disappoint. In addition to many great fishing options, this area is rich in American history. Take in all of the beautiful and scenic views along winding highways as you make your way to historical sites.

Terrible experience! We rented a cabin for two days in September-mid week. Broken futon that folded up on you when you tried to sleep on it. Tv came on but no sound, bedside lamp didn’t work. Golf cart couldn’t even make it up the hill after being charged all night. We checked out at 8 am after the first night. We asked for a refund. After many calls they gave us a credit of 63.50. They charged 546.00 to our credit card 2 weeks before we booked. What a rip off! Beware! How do they stay in business when they treat people like this? And watch out for bed bugs!

We have a large group of friends and family that come every October for the past several years. We will no longer be making this our vacation spot. Over the past years the prices have increased significantly, staff are rude and make excuses for everything and the pool is no longer heated (which they said last year would be fixed for this year). As for the haunted trail it opens at 8pm so when I got there at 9:45pm they said it was closed and wouldn’t let us in and said to come back next week…seriously!!! If they want to close at a certain time they need to state that on their activity paper

I have come to Marval since I was a little girl. I enjoy the experience and atmosphere of Marval so very much! However, the experience isn’t near as fun when your cabin is disgustingly dirty when you arrive. Their website says they’re doing “extra cleaning” with Covid, however it didn’t even look like they touched our cabin. When we arrived there were dirty socks and candy spread across the loft. There was dried toothpaste in the sink and hair wrapped around the faucet handles from the previous attendants, as well as a razor in the shower. Which means if they missed a razor in the shower

We have been having family reunions here for a number of years. The whole family creates many memories of fun together. Which is important as we all grow older. The staff is amazing and very personable leaving us with no complaints and the property is so beautiful. A example from this year and the staff, my son had a flat tire and no jack or tire iron. Steve with maintenance came through and brought the equipment, told us where to get it fixed and within 1 hour he was rolling again. Thank you all for the amazing experience.

Third year back and we still love it. Four children ages 14 to 7. They enjoy all the activities, painting, tie dye, Gaga ball, volleyball, and basketball. We enjoy renting a golf cart and following the kids around to different activities. We enjoy the cabins and pools. The river is a little too cold for us and we don't have any luck fishing. Also enjoyed the water balloon war zone.

It was my 1st time visiting. My bonus mom Anne Orman passed on September 1st 2021. This is where they vacationed at least once a year. So all us family met up and just took a walk together. Always peaceful and filled with respectful people and families. Definitely coming back every year on her heavenly birthday. God Bless everyone that helps run such a great operation 🙏 🙌

The rooms need some maintenance. Our bathroom door was separating, the AC unit had water dripping down the wall, and none of the doors close or open smoothly.
We did enjoy the views, and everyone we dealt with was very friendly. The crafts were good, however the arcade was broken. One of our family members had a racoon living under her cabin.
Overall not bad, but they could do a little more work on the cabins.

I had read a lot of negative reviews and was hesitant to visit this campground. However, I was so happy that we did! I heard that the staff was very rude, but I NEVER met one rude person! In fact, several of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay delightful. One of the maintain men even helped up set up our new tv to the cable. The only thing that was a negative was that I was under the impression that our campsite would have a cement pad and it did not. We stayed in site 404. We were close to the playground, which came in handy since we had our grandson. We had a great time and would

I am part of a large family reunion that visits the property each year. I have stayed here 4 or 5 times and it's been fine. However, I was there last week and am now covered in bedbug bites. I haven't traveled anywhere else in over a year and had no problems or bites at home prior to this trip so we can logically conclude it's the cabin that was infested. Bites can take 2-14 days to appear. I checked out on August 1, 2021 so I'm right in that window.
