At Anderson at Summerfield Memory Care, ''A 55 and Older Senior Living Community, '' we strive to meet our residents' needs and make their stay with us as pleasant as possible. We are also very sensitive to the stress and strain that the family goes through while caring for a person diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, dementia and other forms of memory loss.

It’s a great place. They are always having activities for the residents which is especially important in the memory care unit. The food is great also. A few employees really stand out. Missy, a CNA in memory care and Tammy who organizes the activities. I could always count in them.
I had the opportunity to meet Ryan Markham. He is a genuinely nice person. He understands what the needs of the families are and make sure they get it.

DON’T LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!
My grandfather was assaulted by a nurse at Summerfield. The incident was caught on the facility’s video. The aide pushed my grandfather into a glass coffee table and then left him on the floor bleeding for several minutes until he got himself on to the sofa. No nearby staff came to help him. He was transported via ambulance to the ER and my mom was called and told he had “fallen” and was acting out. We believe a cover up by the administration ensued from that point on. He was asked to move out and only later did the video tell the true story. The administration

I have to say I have had experience in many different assisted living communities and Summerfield in my opinion is noticeably at the top of the pack. The employees always seem very positive and smiling. The community is very well kept and nice. The rooms are big and all the amenities on the property are amazing. But to me what sets them apart is the engaging way that their activities director always has something fun going on. I highly recommend this community.

This is a great place to stay and the staff is very pleasant and friendly. The property is absolutely beautiful with large rooms and good food. I understand there’s some disgruntled employees that have made it a point to post negative reviews online here about this community so I felt compelled to write my personal experience.

My grandmother was living at Summerfield for a while but then went to go live in their memory care Community; Anderson. Summerfield was a great place to live and she really liked it there. The staff was awesome and the Management was top notch. Anderson was also nice and they treated my grandmother very well. I recommend both of these facilities to everyone I talk to who may be looking for a place for their elderly family member.

As a visitor I was very impressed. The Management Staff was very friendly and professional. The staff were all smiling and very friendly to us. The residents seem very happy and said how much they enjoyed living there. It was decorated so nice and it was clean! I have and will continue to recommend Summerfield of Slidell!

At first, I didn't want to leave my home and friends, I cried all the way here. I look back on it and realize how silly I was because it is such a fun-loving place to be. Everyone was so welcoming and eager to help me transition smoothly. It was as if I came to life again. I didn't realize how alone I was. Since being here I have had a wonderful time with my new Summerfield family. We have lots of fun and the activities keep us busy. Summerfield has enriched my life in so many ways.

I have been at Summerfield with my daughter to "Check it out" twice before my becoming a resident. Visiting and residing have been the same for me...WONDERFUL! Summerfield is a love-filled place to live. The caretakers are knowledgeable, loving and always available for us. All kinds of activities are available each day. Some days I prefer to hang out in my room very sure that a staff member will knock on my door to check on me. I can eat in the dining room or in my apartment, it is my choice. My cat loves looking out the window to watch resident dogs play. I have made lots of new friends and visit

I've been in the healthcare field for almost 20 years and this is the first company that has made me feel joy to come to work daily. The management team are amazing and make you feel part of a team. They are always open to suggestions to make employees time here satisfying. The residents become like a second family. I couldn't be happier with my decision to work for Summerfield Assisted Living!
