In the mid 1940's brothers Bud and Dode Egbers were just out of high school, farming cattle on their local Skagit Valley farm. By 1947, the Egbers found themselves hauling grain and hay on their 4 trailers at the urging of local farmers; this was the beginning of Skagit Valley Trucking. Throughout the 1950's the Egbers brothers began hauling the bulk foods that would later become their staple accounts throughout their 60 year company history.
Skagit Transportation currently serves Washington, Oregon, British Columbia, and limited parts of Idaho. We have dry, refrigerated, and lift-gate vans, all types of bulk feed trailers, numerous varieties of crop specific trailers, and biosolids hauling units to meet our customers' needs. Skagit Transportation hauls dry goods, food grade products, and frozen food using modern day cab or sleeper units with either three or four axles.
Skagit Transportation is consistently seeking motivated and reliable drivers. Skagit Transportation is a quality organization with a 60+ year history, providing a strong secure opportunity to new drivers. STI values the importance of family, with most of our drivers working locally, allowing the ability to be home nightly.

In Skagit it's great but the new UMO card isn't all it's cracked up to be. My regional monthly pass won't work on the twa in Bellingham. Major pain to have to try to convince the driver. I am at the hospital every day all day and I'm just too tired to argue. Looks like I'll have to use the older kind???
11/30/21-UMO GOT IT'S WINGS! MUCH BETTER.
