Our nationally recognized Intergenerational Program is at the heart of Martha & Mary. It plays a central role in our commitment to "bridging generations, enriching lives." Each week, our Preschool and PreK students spend one-on-one time with the residents of our Health and Rehab Center and other area senior care facilities.

As part of this unique and mutually beneficial experience, the children and seniors enjoy arts & crafts, singing, playing games, gardening and dining together. It is a remarkable opportunity for children and seniors to interact, enjoy and learn from one another. On-campus programs at seven area elementary schools in Central and North Kitsap School Districts.

Here in spring of 2021 (FINALLY!), I look back and give thanks for the staff and management of Martha and Mary's foresight in following strict guidelines to keep COVID infections to an impressive low by all standards.
My Father was there through the entire 'pandemic and we felt he had the best chance of avoiding infection, given his circumstances, because of management's decisions'.
From the start, masks and distance were MANDATORY for all. As things went from bad to worse, Martha and Mary screened employees daily then management made the tough decision to close visits down while others still

Warm atmosphere with caring staff. Occasionally have staffing problems as all nursing homes do but they work together as a team so patients are cared for. Remodel is complete on Marina Unit. Smooth flooring and walls have increased sound level.

I was pretty sick for awhile there, and the care was wonderful! God in his Grace blessed me with an almost miraculous recovery of my lucidity, brains, and cognitive memory.

Dec. 21st 2018 will be a year that my mom passed away @ Martha & Mary in Poulsbo. She was at Martha & Mary for about a year, My mom had early dementia so she needed 24 hour care. Sadly she did not have a good experience with the nurses there, I was not aware that she was suffering, she was unable to communicate this to us, I felt something wasn't right though so I started going to see her at different times day & night. We would find her in her wheel chair in her room soaked in urine, the floor wet. She wasen't showered often, Other times her t.v was full blast to me this seemed to be so they wouldn

My grandfather lived here for the last four years of his life due to his dementia. The staff treated him like a family member and were wonderful supports for me as I sat with him in his final days and hours. Caring people and a beautiful setting. Thank you.
